Chapter 1

Dear Diary,

    Today in school we had the biggest test ever!  I'm pretty sure that 75% of my class failed. Luckily, my friend/neighbor Karley and I have been studying. It was on microbiology...like I will ever need to use that for my designing career! I've already made some killer designs. Today, Chloe, Karley, Kiley and I are going to see Eclipse and then stay the night at Kiley's house. She is going to pick Karley and I up at 7:30 so I'd better go get ready.

    I don't know why I write in my diary. It just gave Natalie and Ana a way to find and look at all my secrets. I think I'm going to stop that. Yep, that's what I'll do.

    I needed to get packed so that I would be ready when Karley came at 7:25. I had on red skinnies and my favorite red and black checkered shirt. My dirty blonde hair had just recently got brown lowlights. I had to admit; I looked good. I gathered all my stuff and quickly redid my make-up.

    Karley was trudging up the front walk with her bags, so I took a bag and let her in. She practically lived here because she loved my room and so did I. My room was a light blue with a solid dark purple strip around the center. It had one of those cool chairs that was attached to the ceiling. In one corner I had a loft with my mattress on it for my bed.

    "Hi, how's life?" I greeted Karley.

    "Boring, you?" she asked in reply.

    "Same. Ready to go?"

      "Yeppp" she dragged on the p.

    Kiley's Mom's car was pulling over, so we both climbed in.

    "Zoey, you look great!" she told me.

    "Thanks, so do you. Are you guys ready for some vampires?!" I pumped my fist in the air.

      "YEAH!" the others screamed. On the way there, we were disagreeing about Team Edward vs. Team Jacob. (I am on Team Edward with Chloe, but Kiley and Karley are firmly stuck on Team Jacob. We could go on and on.

      When we got there I got the Strawberry Sourstraws: It's one of my traditions. The movie was amazing. I loved the little charm bracelet that they both gave Bella a charm for...and then she broke her hand!

      When the movie was over, we drove to Kiley's house and got dressed for bed. For dinner, we devoured scrumptious mini-pizzas. After that, I decided to tell them what happened today.

    "Guess who asked me out today after scho-ool!" I singsonged.

    Without letting anyone reply, I answered my own question.  "Garret!" I said smugly.

    "OMG, why didn't you tell us sooner?!" Chloe looked confused.

    "I wanted to surprise you guys" I giggled. Garret was the hottest guy in the 7th grade. "We are going out tomorrow night!" I was unbelievably excited. I still wasn't tired, nor was anyone else, so I suggested a game.

    We all played Monopoly until 1:30 AM, so we were all pooped. Kiley won, but no one really cared; we all just wanted to go to sleep.

      In the morning, we had Oreo ice cream for breakfast. We all wanted to go swimming, so I went and got on my suit. It was a bikini with peace signs all over it. I was the first one finished so I went to sit down at the bar.

      Mark, Kiley's older brother, came out of his room, looking hot with his hair messed up from sleeping. He was in 8th grade. He looked back at me and smiled. I was about to melt when Chloe came up behind me and asked, "Whatcha lookin' at?"

      "Nothing.  Are we ready to go?" I changed the subject in an attempt to cover up the fact that I was just checking Mark out.

    "Yep, lets go!" she hollered and we all dashed outside. We all lay in the sun on inflatable mattresses. We were basking in the sun when Mark jumped in the pool and hoisted me onto his shoulders.

    "Mark!" Kiley yelled. I was psyched that Mark was with us. We messed around in the pool for around two hours. When we all finally decided to go inside, I was the first one to get changed again, so I strolled into the living room where Mark was sitting.

      "You have a cell phone right?" he asked me. I nodded. "I'll give you my number if you give me yours." He smiled at me. So I stayed calm and we exchanged numbers. The girls walked out of the bathroom and I shoved my phone in my pocket.

    "I think I need to get ready to leave" I announced. I went in to the room and got everything packed and ready to go. My mom was picking me up at 11:30 so we could eat lunch together.

      My mom pulled into the driveway and I quickly said my goodbyes. "I'll see you guys on Monday,"

    "Okay, see ya!"

    I left the room and suddenly, Mark was right there in front of me. " I'll text you later okay" he said. " Yeah that would be fine," I answered.

      I got into my Mom's car. We went to Arby's for lunch and I got my favorite meal: A medium roast beef with a large curly fries and a Dr. pepper.

    "So guess what" she sounded excited.

    "What" I asked.

    "We are going to Florida for the summer" she told me. Worry welled up in my heart.

    "The entire summer?" I asked. I didn't want to go for the entire summer.  I had friends and two boys that were interested in me...she couldn't just steal my best summer ever!

    "Yep, we are leaving the day after school is over!"

      I argued and I pleaded, but the decision was final.
