This Kiss

Chapter 4

Upon returning home there was a familiar vehicle in drive way. Both women let out a sigh. As soon as the car was stopped Emma jumped out and ran for the porch. Natalia looked towards Olivia, seeing the unease in her eyes, she gave her hand a squeeze before reaching for the handle and reluctantly climbing out of the car. Olivia followed suit following just behind Natalia up the path to their home.

Emma greeted Frank with her usual excitement. "Hi uncle Frank."

"Hey there Emma." He said with a dopy grin on his face. "Hey Olivia, hello Natalia. I heard you had a scare this evening. Thought I might come check on you ladies."

"That's very nice of you Frank." Natalia said sneaking a glance at Olivia trying to gage her mood.

"What kind of a scare?" Emma asked worriedly.

"Oh it was nothing Jellybean. Natalia and I were just being silly."

"Frank, I can't really talk right now. I need to get Olivia and Emma settled and get something for dinner." Natalia said as politely as she could. It really bothered her the way Frank showed up unannounced on a regular basis.

Olivia was opening the door for Emma to go in when she noticed the pleading look in Natalia's eyes. She knew Natalia wasn't ready for the conversation with Frank right now and didn't want to be left alone with him.

"I was hoping maybe I could take you to dinner since we weren't able to go out earlier. Olivia seems fine now. I'm sure she can manage dinner for her and Emma." Frank said with a puppy dog look on his face.

"Frank, I really need to be home right now. My family needs me here. Thanks for coming out to check on us but we really just want too relax tonight." Natalia said with a smile. Not at Frank, but at thinking of herself, Olivia, and Emma as a real family, along with Rafe and Ava of course.

Olivia also seemed to notice Natalia referring to them as a family because she flashed Natalia a wide smile with a wink. Turning and holding the door open she waited for Natalia to move towards it. "Night Frankie. Thanks for coming out I really do a appreciate it."

"Yeah thanks Frank." Natalia agreed with a sweet smile before stepping inside.

Frank walked down the path to his car completely confused. He just didn't understand why Natalia couldn't just come out with him tonight. Oh well. He thought. I will try again tomorrow. That's it. She's been at the hospital she's just tired I'm sure she'll come to dinner tomorrow. With that thought in mind he got in his car and drove off with a happy smile on his face.

"So, what do my girls feel like for dinner?" Natalia asked cheerfully.

"Can we have pizza and popcorn and a movie?" Emma asked bouncing up and down with excitement.

"Yeah, can we Natalia Please, please, please!?!" Olivia joined in sounding very much like her eight year old daughter.

"Well I don't see how I can refuse that. Emma, why don't you go up and get you pj's on while I order pizza. Then you can pick out a movie."

Emma was already half up the stairs when she yelled back, "Okay Natalia. You're the best."

As soon a Emma was out of sight Olivia pulled Natalia into the kitchen and into her arms. Wrapping her arms around her waist she kissed her soundly for long minutes before pulling back and looking into her eyes. "I'm sorry, I just had to do that while I had the chance. I can't believe you called us your family to Frank."

Natalia placed a chaste kiss her lips. "You are my family Olivia. You are everything to me. And don't ever apologize for kissing me. I kind of like it." She said with a smirk.
