I opened my eyes to the sun peaking through the drapes. There were small patches of fog on the window and a couple rain drops to go along with it. I turned to see George was no longer with me.

I sit up stretching my body while looking out the window. I couldn't see much but through the small space in the curtains I could see people walking their dogs or with their children. A walk would sound nice.

I got up grabbing a blanket and wrapping it around my shoulders. As I walked down the hall there was a faint sound of chatter to be heard downstairs. Georges laugh could be heard along with my uncles.

I hope George didn't tell them, I needed to tell them. Or possibly I didn't. I'm not telling them not yet at least.

As I walked down the steps the blanket followed behind me. It flowed down the steps as I walked just like my dress for the ball had.

I walked into the living room leaning my body against the door frame. George sat on the love seat with a cup of tea in his hands as Sirius sat in the chair holding a cup of coffee.

George looked over giving me a small smile and I gave a weak one back. I was still tired but I knew I had to get up. Sirius turned in his chair looking in my direction.

"Well morning sleepy head. It's almost noon and you're normally the first one up!" Sirius exclaimed.

"Yeah I was just tired thats all." I say while making my way to the other couch.

I pulled the blanket tighter around my body as I sat down. George and Sirius both stared at me waiting for me to say something.

"Hey shes finally awake!" My father says as he walks into the room.

"Morning dad" I say as he sits down next to me.

As any father would he handed me a cup of tea while setting his on the table. I looked at George then back to my father, what if they can see the bruises?

"I have to use the restroom I'll be right back." I say while standing up.

I headed to the closest bathroom quickly shutting the door behind me. I dropped the blanket and quickly looked into the mirror. The ones on my cheek weren't as dark as they were last night. Barely noticeable but the ones on my neck had gotten a bit darker.

There were three on the side of my neck from his fingers. I quickly thought of what to do but nothing came to mind besides makeup. I bent down picking the blanket up wrapping myself in it once again. I ran to my room trying to be quick but still quiet.

I got to my dresser and found a small bottle of foundation and green tinted concealer. I put down a small amount on the bruises and blended it together. It had covered it the best it could but now they were barely noticeable just like the other ones.

I let out a sigh as a knock was heard on the doorframe. My head hung low until I looked up seeing George in the mirror. He walked closer as I turned around to face him.

"You alright?" He asks.

I nod my head trying to convince myself that everything is alright. I know now that I'm away from him and that I'm safe but the thought of him coming to my house scares me.

"Are you going home today?" I ask him.

He smiles to me shaking his head no. I felt relieved that he said that. He opened the curtains as he looked down in the street.

"I'm gonna stay for a couple days until I know that you're alright. Until then Remus and Sirius said I could stay." He says

The sun hit his skin perfectly. His freckles came out more since he's been outside and his hair has gotten a bit lighter from the sun.
