One day after another

Moving fast

We got back in the common room and everyone seemed to head to bed. George and i sat on the sofa infront of the fireplace, we shared a blanket and he sat peacefully while i read to him.

"Then we went across the street and down Sutton a little way to The Dingo." I read to him quietly. I wasnt far into the second chapter and he alrady looked tired. He started to move a little, His head was now resting on the top of my knee as he faced the fire. It was cute but it hasnt even been two days, ive never had someone act like this towards me so it was all new.

"Are you comfortable?" I asked him

"You do have  boney  knees Claire"

"Well im sorry, here" I moved my knees down and shifted ever so slightly. I was now laying down and gesturing for him to put his head on my thighs. He smiled and laid his head down.

"Better" I asked him

"Much" He replied as he looked up at me and smiled.

I continued to read to the sleepy boy who quickly started to snore and droll on my leg. I thought it was funny, and quite adorable. I tarted to feel my eye lids grow heavy and i started to dose off, i didnt want to wake George so i just fell asleep on the sofa not thinking about any of the consequences the next morning had in hold.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" Ben yelled scaring both George and I awake. Fred was sitting at the table giggling as my brother continued to yell.

"Chill Ben, we just fell asleep its not a big deal" I told him. George had been still been laying on my thigh and Ben didnt seem happy about it. He was glaring at George and i dont think he caught on.

"Hey i didnt mean any harm i swear she was just reading to me nothing else and we ended up falling sleep i meant no harm" George told him finally sitting up. Ben didnt sem to care and he still seem pissed.

"Stay away from my sister if you know whats good for you" Ben told him getting close in his face

"Ben im 16 jesus christ what is wrong with you, I think I can take care of myself i dont need someone like you watching over me constantly. Go run off with your new butt buddy Draco and leave me alone. You never cared before so why start now huh?" I yelled at Ben. I never yell at him, we've obviously never been close but i normally just ignore him. Did i over react? Did he over react?

I quickly got up grabbing my book storming off to my dorm room. I went into th bathroom that was connectd to mine and Hermiones room and took a shower. I couldnt stop asking myself if i over reacted, why would he get so mad i mean i understan im his little sister but he didnt have to yell especially
when there were people around. It was kind of emberassing, new school and my brothers already threatening people. I was in the shower for about 45 minutes until Hermione came in and asked if i was ok. I didnt realize how long i was actually in there for, 45 minutes felt like maybe 15. I got out and got dressed, i put on a pair of jeans that i cuffed at the bottom, a cropped blue tank top, and a black sweater to go over. I slipped on a pair of converse and i planned on going to the library. My hair was down and clurled and i only had put on mascara. Classes were going to officially start tomorrow to i figured i would read up on some of the book they had here. I walked down into the common room and noticed no one was dressed like i was, everyone else was wearing skinny jean and t-shirts. I realized my style seemed to be diffeerent then the other girls and ya know i didnt really mind.

I started waking over to George but when he noticed he got up and walked to the boys dorms. Ben you prick, I bet this is why he doesnt want to be around me. I walked over to Fred hopig he wouldnt leave also"

"Im guessing he's not gonna talk to me because of my brother"

"Uh im not really sure why he left. He was going on and on about you reading to him last night, he was telling me aout the book you were reading, and there was something else i just dont quite remember wha it was" Fred had said clearly tring to think hard

"I hope George doesnt avoid me for long Ben has always been like this, Hes always trying to protect me from guys that are doing no harm"

"George would never do you harm, or anyone really. He has a very big heart"

"Thats nice of you to say, can you ask him if hes gonna talk to me again please?"

"Ya i will, oh and he kept saying how he thought when you were concentrating on reading he said you looked gorgeus" fred said with a smirk

I felt my face slightly get warm "Thank you for telling me Fred, Im off to the library to read ill see you later". He nodded at me and went to walk upstairs.

"Hermione, wanna go to the library with me?" I asked her

"Ya sure!" She seemed happy to have someone to volenterily go to the library with her. Ron and Harry just sat there shaking there heads. Hermione got up walking towards me and we both head to the library.
