39. What is he to Me?

So last few days I was absolutely taking rest apart from doing classes and thought about my old chapters which I wrote in a daze... And guys.... How could u just read them and not complain??!!! God!!! So many mistakes and errors!!!! Yuck!!! I was so so soooo disappointed in myself!!!
So after today's short chapter I decided, that in this break period am gonna both edit and update short chapters (though I doubt my will to make it perfect, can keep it short). And I can already feel my friend cursing me when she sees the update.. phew am courageous..

Anyways enjoy this short chapter my flowers~

A soft whimper escaped from the lips of a young blonde vampire as he tried to cover his mouth to hide the noise of his sobs.

He didn't wanted to wake up his mate, who was tired from all the work and having a deep slumber.

The petite blonde couldn't help it. He wanted to stop crying but tears won't stop falling from his eyes.

An unknown ache grasped his heart, squeezing it painfully.

He didn't know why but after seeing his brother-in-law's friend at the dinner, this longing and pain started and he wanted it to be gone.

He knows he kind of shocked everyone at the dining when he patted the younger's head before everyone decided to go back to their respective chambers.

Kim Taehyung. A small human made him feel this pain. And all he wanted to do now was make sure that this beautiful young boy stays safe.

What was that human to him?

Why he is feeling the need to keep him safe, he doesn't know. But something tells him he must do it.

Suddenly a pair of strong arms wrapped around his waist pulling him closer to the former's chest.

Baekhyun gasped and looked back worried, thinking he might have woke up his mate.

But seeing Chanyeol's not moving form he relaxed a bit and snuggled back closer, closing his eyes.

He will think about his unnatural behaviour later. He needs to calm down and rest for now, which his mate's scent was helping him do easily.

But unknown to the exhausted petite blonde his mate, who was awake all the while, enhanced his scent more to calm his mate down, helping him to sleep faster.

Chanyeol was up already when he heard his mate's first sob and whimper. But he didn't move, fearing he won't be able to hide the things that he got to know from the torn script, from his mate.

But for now he needed to keep it hidden from Baekhyun even though it killed him internally to do so.

He tightened his grip on his now asleep mate and rested his nose close to Baekhyun's neck, inhaling deeply to calm himself.

He may show to others that he is not scared or worried about the upcoming events, but in honesty he too was freaked out.

But he needed to stay strong. He needed to stay strong for his little brother, he needed to stay strong for his mate and also his mate's .....

He and the others will make it through this time... They will.. they have to..

Because if this time they fail, then bloody chaos will be only there, walking around the surface of the earth.

No flowers will be seen blooming, no birds will be heard singing, no serenity will be found. Only Chaos will be there.

Short than my usual but somehow managed to type it out.

But now you guys know why I call you guys my flowers, and yep I created it while typing the chapter just now. Hope you guys like it. And yes you are precious the way you are my dearies. I know it's hard with the pandemic going on but don't loose hope. Please try to stay strong guys. And drink lots of water.
