Kept a count for about first few decades
But the ache in heart did not want to count anymore

I have lived without your presence

Two men finally landed after 4 hours of flying constantly.

The younger one of the two stretched his limbs, cracking his bones little, to relieve it's soreness.

The elder one looked at the younger one sighing at his childish moves.

He shouldn't be doing this in public. But didn't bother to rectify it. He was more focused to reach at their destination.

He was nervous.
Nervous to see them after centuries. Their family, their friends and others.

He nervously gulped and looked to his side and noticed his younger one was still twitching his body side to side, gaining attention of ladies and lads, who were drooling over him.

Annoyed, the elder finally caught hold of the younger's ear making the latter squeak in pain and pulled him towards their already booked car, to reach their destination.

Entering the car the younger pouted and rubbed his ear complaining his brother,

"What was that for hyung??"

"You were not behaving appropriately and you were gaining a lot of attention too. Alerting the enemy is the last thing we need now."

The younger nodded knowing what his hyung was implying to.
But to make the mood not go stiff he smirked before commenting,

"Well I can't help if I look so hot can I now hyung? You look hot too but not like me."

The elder only sighed pinching the bridge of his nose. He didn't want to loose the remaining of his brain cells before the meeting, so he chose to ignore the younger.
On the other hand the younger huffed being ignored by his brother.

The rest of the cab ride went silent for both of the time.
After riding for another hour silently, they reached their destination.

The big clock on the wall showed that it was already two in the noon.
Might be the reason, that there were hardly anyone around.

Both of them just shrugged to each other, not letting the emptiness of the campus bother them much and looked at the big sign on the building which mentioned,

"XENVA UNIVERSITY"

The elder inhaled deeply, filling his lungs with the familiar scent of the place that he missed for centuries.

"Finally..." The younger muttered.

The elder nodded his head and smiled softly,

"Yes... Finally... Home.."

"Home.."

They entered the building and slowly walked towards the room, where they expected the others to be.

Reaching to the front door of the board room, they could hear many hushed urgent voices. As if they were discussing something urgent, something important.

The younger one of the two grabbed the elder's sleeve. The elder knew the younger was nervous. And was now more nervous hearing all the familiar voices inside.

"Who the fuck wants to know your excuse-"

A loud voice screamed from inside to someone, making the younger vampire outside whimper and almost go teary.

He knew it was not for him but still he was scared.

He feared that, that very voice may say the same thing after hearing their reasons too. And he was not ready to see the disappointment and anger in that man's eyes for him.

The elder held the younger's hand firmly and gave a light squeeze, reassuring him, that he was there. And whatever will happen from the moment they step in the room and show up in front of others, they both will bear it together.

Seeing the reassurance and determination in the elder's eyes, the younger finally calmed down and gave a firm nod before turning back towards the door again.

Knock knock knock

The constant buzzing voices inside the room quieted down. And a soft come in was heard.

And with that they opened the door, revealing themselves to the group inside, earning a collective of gasps.

Ignoring all the shocked faces, the elder bowed with the younger little, and finally said,

"Been a while gentlemen."
