Valerie's POV
December 20, 1991Angelica said the incantation loudly with her wand pointed at their dormitory's door.
"Well?" Penelope said curiously.
"Is it supposed to look different?" asked Angelica.
Valerie dove back into the book they got the spell out from, "I don't...think so." She clarified. "We have to test it now."
Angelica grinned, "Okay, the spell only goes for Ace, Percy and Wood. I think I know who I'm voting for..."
"Me too..." Valerie smiled cheekily and rose from her bed.
"Percy." Angelica and Valerie said in unison and then burst into laughter.
Penelope's pale cheeks blushed bright red at the mention of his name. "Oh come on! He's not even here."
"Alright... I could go get Oliver?" Valerie suggested.
Abruptly, Angelica ran up to Valerie and started shaking her shoulder eagerly. "I know who! I know, let's do Ace! If it didn't work, we'll scare the knickers right off him!" She ran out the room, cackling madly, before Valerie had a chance to respond.
"Bloody mental, that one." Penelope muttered as the two followed in the Lestrange's footsteps.
Valerie saw Angelica casually, and almost flirtatiously, walk up to Ace, who was sitting on a couch in the common room, and lay a hand on his shoulder. Ace looked up at her hopefully and she noticed the tinge of pink growing on his cheeks.
Merlin, Valerie thought painfully, even when he's getting shagged, he finds a way to blush.
Angelica said something to him, and his face fell, all the hope gone. Angelica dragged him off of the couch and over to the girls, who were waiting at the girls spiral staircase.
"What's this about?" Ace asked sourly, keeping his distance from the stairs, knowing that if he set foot on one of the steps a slide would appear, making him slip and be unable to climb them.
"Come on up and we'll show you." Valerie said with a grin and began walking up the stairs.
Ace scoffed impatiently, "Very funny, just because I fell for this little trick of yours twice before doesn't mean I'll do it a third time." He turned to walk away when Angelica gripped his arm.
"Come on, Acie. Haven't you always wondered what my room looks like?" She asked innocently.
"I don't even want to know what type of situation this is." Penelope whispered to Valerie.
"I've been calling it, 'friends with benefits, but the friends don't tell their other friends about the benefits they're receiving,' but I'm open to suggestions." Valerie whispered back, squinting at the two friends.
Penelope snickered and called after them, "Oi! Either you're coming up or not, I don't have all day!"
Ace sighed before obliging. He shut his eyes tight as he walked up the first step. No slide appeared. He took another, nothing. He opened his eyes and shook his head in disbelief as he realized he was halfway up the stairs to the girl's dormitories. "What the hell did you three do?"
"Oh, you know, just some good old-fashioned research." Valerie said proudly.
Ace walked towards the door of Valerie's, Angelica's and Penelope's dormitory and slid inside.
"Yes!" Angelica shouted and high-fived Valerie before strolling in after Ace.
"This is going to be so much fun!" Penelope giggled and followed suit.
