Valerie was carefully wrapping a present when the door to her dormitory burst open. She turned her head to see Penelope, out of breath, in the doorway.
"Woah Pen, what's-" Valerie started.
"I think I fancy Percy Weasley!" Penelope shouted and ran to her bed.
Angelica audibly gasped and then began choking on her saliva. Valerie let out a snort before Penelope shot them both a withering glare.
"You fancy him?! Out of all people, Percy Weasley?!" Angelica asked, dumbfounded.
"Angelica!" Valerie said, "What do you mean you fancy Percy?" Angelica opened her mouth to say something, but Penelope cut her off. "I mean, I think I fancy him! He's sweet and-"
"And he acts like there's a big stick up his ars-"
"Silencio!" Valerie shot a silencing charm at Angelica before she could offend the other girl any further; Angelica opened her mouth several times, but no sound came out. She got up out of her bed and directed two fingers at the girls before storming out of the room.
Penelope proceeded to tell an entire story about how Percy had picked up her book, that had fallen to the floor. Valerie didn't see where anyone could catch feelings, but she let her have her moment, as Percy never cared for relationships past friendship.
After, Valerie returned to delicately wrapping her present to Oliver; she found out it was Oliver's birthday tomorrow because the Weasley twins led her to figure it out last week. She had gotten him the perfect gift, she custom designed two rings; one thick banded with a silver goalpost in the center with red accents around it. The other was thin banded with the same silver goalpost, but with blue accents surrounding it.
Maybe it was a little elusive to get matching rings with Oliver, but what was Valerie supposed to do, he called her gorgeous! Something had to happen at some point.

Ace shoved Valerie in the ribs as she stood in the entrance of the Great Hall, her eyes were set on the Gryffindor table, more specifically, the Gryffindor with pale skin, and dark brown eyes. She sighed and set off to that exact table, she had a plan to give Oliver his gift.
She walked over casually and, by luck, the seat on the right of Oliver was empty and, on his left, sat Percy. Valerie plonked herself down, "Happy birthday, Gryffindork." she said with a smile.
Oliver looked completely confused and then a huge smile flashed onto his face, "The twins told you?" he asked.
"Yep. Here." She handed him the tiny, blue velvet box and casually set her hand, with the ring on it, on the table.
"You didn't have to get me anything." He said while opening the gift. He then gasped, "Woah, this is so cool, thank you, Santos!" He flashed her a wicked Oliver Wood smile.
"No problem." Valerie reached for a piece of toast and Oliver noticed the ring on her middle finger. He grabbed her hand in his, making Valerie flush, and examined the ring on her finger, before dropping it hastily. "You got us matching rings?" he asked picking up the piece of toast Valerie dropped and taking a bite out of it.
Valerie's stomach fluttered intensely before she continued, "Yeah, I picked yours out and thought, why not get one for me? And they aren't matching, mines blue." Valerie scoffed.
"Alright." Oliver smiled and slid the ring on the same finger, same hand, that Valerie's was on. Valerie could tell she was blushing and snatched the toast out of Oliver's hand and took a bite out of the opposite side. This time it was Oliver's turn to blush furiously, Valerie smiled, "You have a match tomorrow, right?"
