"What is it??"
Kaejo asked noticing that the princess has touched the wooden nightingale hanging on the door and he drew closer to her.
"This engraved words..."
Kaejo stopped hearing the princess to have uttered out something.
"That sculpture was made by a friend of mine who once lived with me and my mom before... He loved making sculptures of nightingales. It is beautiful, right?"
"He?? Is his name Fire then??"
Kaejo raised an eyebrow and he took the wooden sculpture touching the words which were engraved on it.
It read as 'Fire and Air is life's care'. And under those words is a carved figure of a sun and a moon.
"How did you thought his name is Fire?"
The princess was frozen in her place and she turned to Kaejo grasping her necklace.
"He is alive?"
"Huh? What do you mean? Do you know my friend Fire?"
The princess showed the necklace to Kaejo and drew herself closer to her that he stepped aback.
"If I can't be mistaken, he should have a necklace as well that illuminates when directly faced to the sun!"
"Huh? How come-"
"Did he had one??"
"Wait, you knew Fire??"
"So he is alive?? We all thought he was dead~! Where is he?? I need to see him!" The princess demanded.
Given that Kaejo was being puzzled of what's going on, he held the wrist of the princess and they got their gaze fixed on each other becoming silent.
The princess felt awkward and she let go before introducing herself.
"My name's Air and Fire is my twin brother. Where is he?? I thought he died a long time ago~"
"How can you be sure? And your story doesn't match~ You said your family died in a war. When my mom found Fire when I was five, he said he-"
Kaejo realized a link between what the princess said and was driven to believe her this time.
"He said what? We were five when we lost him and then there was the war! Where's my brother??"
Before Kaejo could even speak up, they heard commotions in the town and they went out to see what's going on. There were men who were riding on black horses and were wearing black cloaks and turbans. The princess realized that they were the same men who attacked her and Ryel during the escape from the palace so she hid among the bushes without Kaejo even noticing.
The men in black cloaks gathered the people and did not gave mercy to those who tried to fight against them. Kaejo didn't manage to escape but only obediently gathered with the crowd but searching to where Air could have gone to.
"This is an order from the Most Highly King of Azuresky."
Was the beginning statement of one of the men after they surrounded the frightened and terrored people.
"From this day onwards, Shiro, who was sealed for a long time will now pass a new order throughout the lands and to every kingdom. Anyone who receives his mark will be spared to life and those who opposes will be killed."
The people became more frightened hearing the name. The evil power that was once sealed is now released and is passing out a new order.
"Prepare the sealing iron!"
The other men brought out some small iron plates heated in flame and got a scroll figure that they forcefully patched on the forehead of the people. The scorching heat made the young and old to cry and the men to fight but they were instantly killed when they opposed to accept it.
Seeing it made the princess to tremble on where she was and she crept silently away behind the bushes when she was grabbed by someone and her mouth was covered by a hand and she was dragged away from the scene.
