"Well look who's back, did it work? You pretending to be good and save Hope." My dark side sits down on my bed and lifts her leg to rest on top of the other.

"I wanted to save Hope because she has done the same-"

"Same for you. Yes, we get it. Save the speech. I know the real reason you saved her, why you got all angry when I asked why I should care about helping you. And as your subconscious, I feel like it would be.. beneficial for you to finally realize what you're poor broken heart has wanted for so long."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean that under all of that heartbreak that you seem so fond of experiencing, you crave something that is so dear to you. In fact, I think it would solve all of your problems. But it seems that you don't care enough to finally let go of all of that pain."

"I deserve the pain for what I did to everyone."

"It's idiotic, really. You could've had a happy, healthy relationship, but instead, you chose pain and suffering. That's pretty pathetic if you ask me."

"Could you stop speaking in riddles and just tell me?"

"Why, Hope, of course. I've seen alternate realities where you and Hope live happily ever after, no tears, no staying up late at night hating yourself for the choice you made. She could even help you with that merge problem, I mean I think Lizzie could die so we would win, but there wouldn't be a need for the merge if Hope was there. And you know it too. Although I don't get why you try to hide it so much when all you do is think about her. Must be exhausting and absolutely pathetic."

"Hope and I are together in other realities?"

The dark lipstick-covered lips smirk upwards tilting her head back as Josie stands with her hands clasped together in front of her. Her darker side knew that she had Josie right where she wanted her. All she had to do was show her the evidence, show Josie exactly what she could have if she just stepped out of the shadow and took what she wanted. That's all Dark Josie wanted, to have her lighter side to accept herself with confidence that it's okay to be selfish sometimes.

"Would you like to see? All of the possibilities are right there at the tip of your fingers now. All you have to do is open your mind and you'll see exactly what you want. Except this time before hiding and cowering away, go and take it. Because let's be honest Landon is not it. All he did was whine and whine kinda reminded me of you, just we look so much hotter than him."

Josie rolls her eyes and goes to set the crystal down.

"You know, Hope thinks about you too."

She stops and turns to her darker half, while the latter is inspecting her nails.

"How do you know that?"

"Hmm, I'm gonna need more than that. A little more effort."

"Fine, you want effort? Yes, I'm tragically crushing after Hope Mikaelson. Sometimes she's all I think about, I want to run my fingers through her hair and kiss her like no one's watching."

The darker figure stands with the mischievous smirk still glued to her face, she sways her hips as she steps towards the closet grabbing a single book.

"Penelope's burn book." Josie answers.

"Mhm, Hope writes about her feelings a lot probably more than anyone in this school. It was a fun read while I waited for my minions to set up the Merge for us. Then Hope broke through to you and it was this whole thing."

Dark Josie hands Josie the book. The brunette turns around and goes to sit down at her desk while opening the book till she recognizes Hope's handwriting. It's the most unique Josie's ever seen it loops sometimes when Hope's too excited to notice or neat and simple when she's calm. The date was last year before she jumped into the Malivore pit.
