Sirens behind me and my heart is thumping erratically out of my chest. My breathing is thick and hot with bile rising in the back of my throat. I can't escape. There's no way I'll get out of this. My hand is glued to the gear shift I push up and to the left increasing the wind in my hair.
"Josie!" I hear the silky voice of my girlfriend echoing from the radio.
"Yeah?" I answer.
"Don't worry I'm almost there."
"Hope. I have four cops on me how are you gonna get me out of this?"
"When I say go turn left and get out of the car."
"Why?"
"Just trust me."
"Okay."
I wait for her instructions feeling my breathing become less and less labored.
"Turn!" She yells and I jerk the wheel and I slingshot myself out of the car. I look down the street to see Hope dragging them away by knocking into the cop cars. I shake my head with a smile. "Josie wait for me right there I'll be there... now."
Her car swerves in front of me and I jump in. Her foot slams on the gas, tires squeal against the road and she shoots forward. We laugh at our victory.
"Whoo!"
"That was close."
"Damn right it was. But you saved me."
"Of course." She looks at me with a smirk and we ride to the mansion where everyone else is.
Once we get to the mansion I grab the back of her neck and pull her in for an electric kiss. I climb into her lap as the kids gets more intense. Hopes hands in my back pocket, fingers flexing against me.
"Love birds!"
We sigh and I pull away to give my twin the finger she smirks.
"Boss needs us inside."
"We're coming."
Hope opens the door and I climb out first and Hope gets out next wrapping her arm comfortingly around my waist. We walk in and there's alcohol everywhere and everyone waves us over. Rafael hands us a cup. We've had a successful heist there's obviously gonna be a party.
Our boss walks into the room and we stop talking to hear his words. Her looks at us with his grey eyes intensely then his lips pull into a smile.
"We got the money!!"
We cheer along with him. Chase is very intense. Especially when I first met him. Lizzie and I were essentially kidnapped by him and brought here cause our parents were in some deep shit. So they brought us here and I fell in love with Hope immediately and we've been dating ever since. Thankfully they didn't kill us because of our abilities. I have photographic memory so I could remember everything and Lizzie was amazing at technology and computers. So they had us join the Valentine gang.
"Josie?"
"Hmm?"
"You good?" Hope asks concern in her eyebrows.
"Of course."
"You did good today."
"You did too miss hit man and drag racer."
"That was pretty cool."
Landon comes up behind Hope and slaps her in the back of the head. She glares at him.
"You better run Lan." Raf says.
Hope runs after him and tackles him into the pool we laugh at their childish antics. We all join them by jumping into the pool with our clothes on.
