"Happy Valentines Day!" Lizzie yells as she walks into my room.
"Lizzie, what are you doing?" I say sleepily.
"Come on Hope. I know that you like being a loner and having no one around on this special day, but now that you and Josie are a couple it's a big day for you two. Maybe today you can let Josie take your virginity away unless you top, but I highly doubt it."
"Lizzie! Can we not talk about that? I told you that because you're my best friend and that you would keep it secret, not so you could share with the world that I'm 18 and I haven't done it yet."
"Done what yet?" Josie asks walking in from the bathroom while drying her hair with a towel.
"Nothing!" I say.
"You haven't told her?"
"Told me what?" Josie sitting down next to me in our bed.
"That she hasn't done the deed yet."
I glare at Lizzie.
"Get out."
"Just think about what I said, Hope." Lizzie struts out of the room and shuts the door with her magic.
"I am so sorry." I apologize.
"Why are you apologizing?"
"Cause I didn't tell you the truth, and I promised we would tell the truth. That and it's kinda embarrassing."
"Hey, come here." Josie pats her lap.
I crawl onto her lap and lean into her body while she takes my hand. I lean my head on her shoulder, feeling her thumb rub soothing circles into the back of my hand.
"You know I care about you Hope, and I get why you didn't tell me."
"You're not mad?"
"It's pretty hard for me to be mad at you. So, I know that you don't really like to celebrate Valentine's Day but I do have some plans for us if you want to do some cute couple things with me?"
"I am getting used to the idea of celebrating cliché things like Valentine's Day, and I have you to thank for it. You've helped me get better, after Landon dying I thought that I would never be happy again but you proved me wrong. So yes I would love to do cute couple things with you."
She smiles brightly at me and kisses my forehead gently.
Josie and I started dating about a month ago, and it was mainly because Lizzie made me mad about liking Josie and so I yelled it in the library right when Josie walked in. She had been helping me when MG killed Landon when the rest of us were gone on a mission for the urn. And Josie was there for me and helped me move on from him. We haven't had our first kiss or said I love you yet, and Josie said that she said she would wait until I was ready for all of it. Including having sex and all that.
"Good, now we have cookies to make and I have a surprise for you later on."
"Then after all that can, we watch some movies and cuddle?"
"Yes, we can cuddle and watch Netflix."
She smiles softly at me, then slides an arm under my knees and lifts me off the bed towards the bathroom.
"I set up a bath for you, it has your favorite Epsom salt and oils. I also put flower petals in it." She says while setting me on the bathroom counter.
I set my hands on the side of her face as her hands hold onto my wrists.
"Thank you, for everything."
