"Let's go, Warda. I'm ready," I called out to Warda secretly as she scurried into my room with a panicked expression.
"Shh! Mom almost caught me. You know how she feels about you," she panted, pulling on a quick slip on hijab for now. I sadly smiled, nodding. Oh, I knew.
"True. I wish she was normal." I regret saying that the second it slips off my tongue. I glance at Warda, wincing, but Warda laughs. "Me too. " she nodded, and zipped up her lighter jacket, since the weather was warming up.
Amir comes from the washroom and bobbed his head at us. "Ready to go?" He asked. I nodded at him, but suddenly, something popped up in my mind.
"Amir.. What about the kids?" I worriedly asked. He chuckled. Warda applied some Chapstick to her lips and checked her phone for a second.
"It's fine, don't worry, I'm here. And I can ask mina for help too. Shh, calm down, and just breathe. Everything's fine." He replied smoothly, patting my shoulders reassuringly.
"What if she catches us? " I thought aloud. Warda nodded, agreeing. "Yeah.. Amir Bhai, are you sure this is the best idea? She'll probably think Bhabi is taking me to a hijab store and you know how she is about this. She also doesn't think Bhabi is a good influence." Warda bit her lip.
"It's perfectly fine. Don't worry, I'll sneak you guys out. Go through the back door, okay?" He started, grinning. He lead us out the door, and down the stairs secretly. "Let's go. Shes upstairs, right?"
"Yes. " Warda nodded. We ran across the hall and I opened the single door to the backyard. My heart beat quickened, and my palms came sweaty. Amir waved, and we scurried across out, our heart beats loud in our chests.
I gasped silently as I caught Auntie's figure on the beach chairs, talking on the phone. I winced, and Warda gasped at me nervously. We ran quickly and she almost saw us. I gasped loudly as we ran back inside, shut the silent door, and I fell into Amir's arms. "What happened?" He asked, confused.
"That woman moves like a snake or something. She's out there," I panted, feeling a few pangs (cramps) in my stomach. Warda gave me water and drank some herself.
"Come, quick, out the front door. " Amir dragged me there, and we ran into my car. She would hear if I started the engine, because the backyard had a way close to the driveway."shoot! She'll hear!" I winced. Our engine made some noise, especially this one. It was really new.
Warda urged me on. "I know, but we have no time! Just do it ." She told me. I nodded. I quickly turned the key inside and started it up. As we drove away, I saw Amir confronting auntie. Smart. He distracted her. Another reason why he's my one and only. He may be arrogant and rude sometimes, but he sure can be helpful and smart.

"-- And that's why we came here." I finished off, leaving mummy more than shocked. She gaped out to me and Warda, her face confused. She stayed like that for a moment before bursting into tears.
"I'm so sorry! I never knew my little sister was like that! " she sobbed, and at once I grabbed her arm gently, rubbing it and pulling in for a hug. Warda also tried her best to comfort mummy.
"It's okay, it's okay. We never knew either. Is not your fault at all. Okay? Please, don't mourn over how your sister is. We only came here for us to find a solution." I reassured her. She nodded, wiping her tears.
"Well, I'd better have a talk with her. A big one. A persuasive one. But don't worry, I won't mention your names unless it's the best thing to do. " she nodded thoughtfully.
