I woke up to a sore bottom, and I felt my head heavy and as if someone was banging on it. Sore. Hurt. I looked up to find white ceilings staring down a me, and I closed my eyes. I looked over and saw my hand connected to a drip and the hospital room. Then I remembered I fell down the stairs. I winced. Pain shot through my body, and my head hurt. "Hello?" I croaked, and even that made me take away my energy.
The door opened and that revealed a worried face. Umma. Her eyes lined up with tears and her forehead creased with wrinkles. "Annie!" She shouted, and rushed to me. I felt my eyes flutter close. I was so exhausted.
"I'm, I'm tired." I choked, and I felt Umma's hand on my free hand that wasn't connected to the drip.
"Go to sleep, honey, rest. Everything's fine." She replied. I let my eyes close all the way and let sleep invade over my numb brain.

"Annie? Are you alright?" I heard Baba ask me. I fluttered my eyes open. I checked on the time. It was an hour later. Amir, Qasim Uncle, Umma and Baba surrounded me. I scrunched my eyes.
"Baba? Amir, what's going on? Why is my head hurting so much.." I moaned. He bit his lip.
"You got a bit severely hurt on your head. " Amir weakly admitted. I closed my eyes.
"Where, where is the rest of the people, where's my kids?" I frantically demanded.
"They're at home, darling. Not many people were supposed to come because doctors get confused. Warda, Auntie, Adem and the kids are fine at home." Amir explained. I weakly nodded.
"Are you sure they'll be okay? Amir, they only go to Adem sometimes. How can they handle it?" I flutter my eyes close. Amir nods.
"They will be fine. Asher goes to Warda too." Amir tells me, reassuring.
"Beta, I'm going to sit out since the doctor is coming. There will be too much people." Uncle informs me and left. I was too weak to stop him.
"Hello, there. How are you feeling now?" An average woman's voice asked. A doctor with a huge pink smeared smile and gramma style in clothing with a tag around her neck came into my limited view. She had her hair tousled and it was white. "Hi. " I replied, with great strength.
"I feel sick, and sore." I truthfully admitted. I usually don't tell my issues to the doctor, but here, the pain was rippling through me.
"That's another thing we gotta calm down. I'll get you some Advil. Anything else?" She asked.
"Well, my head hurts. Like a lot." I stammered. "And I guess my body is all sore. "
"Oh." She nodded, and scribbled something on her clipboard. She clicked her pen, looked at me, and wrote something. "That's normal. I'll get you Advil. Oh and please, do rest. You don't need to stress at this stage. After you swallow down the Advil, I suggest everyone please let this lady sleep. " she suggested, and my parents nodded. Amir did the same.
"Doctor.. Cani know what happened," I asked. She nodded. My voice was cracked up. Amir passed me a water bottle. I smiled and drank it almost halfway.
"Well, you hit your head pretty hard. The corner grazed it and it got bruised. If you may not know already, it is bandaged. It was bleeding before. And, you got bruises everywhere. But on your both knees you got severe bruises. So to sum it up, your head got the most injured and your legs the second most. You'll need some pain killers and lots of rest. And one of the nurses will change your bandage very day. " she explained to me. I slowly nodded, which took the greatest effort.
