Beware the old writing

Emilia never had a happy life. Her father abandoned her, and her mom was abducted when she was three. Not to mention she was adopted by the Cedric...
Cedric Blade, the man who caused the Kimandra region's war against Hoenn twenty two years ago. All because he abducted people and forced them to attack the region, as he needed a war against some region for his plan. His greed killed millions of people for a plan he couldn't even finish before age and excessive smoking caught up on him. He was like that guy, Hitler. The dictator from long ago in Sinnoh.
He may only have been forty seven, but his excessive drinking and smoking took its toll. He knew he could live long enough to rule the world, if someone did the job for him. That's one of the reasons he adopted Emilia.
He knew that a softie couldn't do the job, so he made her as tough as he could. It didn't bother him that he had to abuse her physically and verbally to do so, as he never loved her to begin with. She was just his pawn for domination. He never allowed himself to feel any sort of emotional bond with Emilia, as he felt that would effect the plan. Heck, he had no emotional bonds with anyone.
Ever since he adopted her at eleven,, she made sure she was miserable. However, he wanted her to be intelligent, too. He had some grunts teach her, and he gave her paper and pencils for drawing and writing. However, he usually overworked her, and didn't feed her enough to be a healthy weight. She was underweight, but just slightly.
He decided that he would send her on her mission the day of her sixteenth birthday. And on May twenty-seventh, XXXX, he finally put his plan into action.

I'm not joking when I say the house has intercoms. There's plenty of security buttons and mazes too. Weird, right? Well, it's not really a 'house'. It's more like a hideout for Team Ore, with my small room in the back. It may be small, but it had everything I needed. A kind of comfortable bed, a decent amount of clothes, paper and pencil, and so forth.
I wasn't treated very well, but it was better than at the orphanage. At least I have a parent now. The one thing I missed from the orphanage? Loving caretakers. I can't really expect that from a man like father, however. At least many of the grunts are extremely mind.
Father is far too busy with some plan he never talks about around me. I know I'll eventually be part of it, but not yet. Well, I might actually get involved today. But, enough on the little--well, big--plan
I honestly believe that if I had a 'normal' family before I was adopted, then I'd rather die than call him 'father'. But, Ive never had a normal family, now have I? Well, father and the grunts are all I have. I don't expect him to even remotely like me, because he doesn't like anyone. Like, he'd probably stab his parents for a quick buck. Sad, but true. His coldness has rubbed off on me in the sense that I am shy. And if you'd get to know me, you'd see that I'm not the nicest individual. You probably wouldn't even get close to me, though. I've never even had a friend besides the grunts, either, so I'd be clueless on how to keep a good relationship with friends. But, I've been doing fine with only the grunts, haven't I? Many of them are very nice individuals.
From what I've seen in the newspaper is how evil the media portrays Team Ore to be. I haven't seen Cedric do anything, so I can't say he's evil. And many of the grunts joined Team Ore believing that people and Pokemon needed a new world order, as this world does seem to be quite chaotic. Sure, some grunts are evil to the bone, but those types of grunts are rare. Well, the media probably doesn't know that, as they don't live with Team Ore like I do. The only thing is, I don't know any of the grunts' names, because they're not allowed to share them. Even if you're promoted to an admin, you go by a nickname. But, the nameless thing can get confusing in crowds...
All in all, I may not have the best life, but I don't mind living it. My only problem is father...
I have tried to escape a few times. For example, once a grunt gave me her prized Froakie and attempted to sneak me out, but the security cameras caught us. She ended up getting shot three times in the head and getting thrown in the dump. They did the same with the Froakie, too...
But, my father said he had a compromise! I'm kind of worried about what the compromise is, but hey, I might as well be packing my one small bag for a journey! Oh guess what, I already did! A grunt even gave me some pokeballs and potions. I will miss all the grunts; the majority of them are super nice.
Now that my bag was packed, I was left waiting anxiously for three o'clock when my father would talk to me. According to my skitty clock, it's three... Wait! Oh crud, daylights saving was a week ago; I've been too busy to change it! I grabbed my real bag and dashed out of my room, handing down the long and dark hall towards a giant door. The grunt guarding the door recognized me immediately, and opened the door for me, smiling weakly. What's wrong with him? Did he get demoted? No, I'd recognize him if that happened.
"Emilia." My father said monotonously, getting my attention immediately.
"Yes father?" I said as monotonously as he did; that's what he wants from me anyway.
"I expect you're excited to hear my offer?" He inquired. Is he trying to drag this out for me?
"Yes father." I replied.
"Well, here it is. I'm letting you know now that you have no choice."
"O-okay, father." I can't turn it down? That's a plan for disaster...
"You will take on the gym challenge as you wish. However, you will have to aid me in a journey of my own. I have a plan, but I need anyone of power out of my way. So you will eliminate them for good, to put it nicely."
"Wait, you mean like... Kill them?" I asked in horror.
"Yes, and no turning it down. A grunt will escort you to Springlake Town to get a starter from Professor Acacia." He said. A grunt disguised as an average citizen that I didn't notice before walked towards me.
"Let us go..." He said, giving me a look of sympathy.
"O-okay..." I whispered. With my father, it's either do this or die. But how could I kill an innocent person? I'm only sixteen! I've never imagined a bright future for me, but it was nothing like this! I guess I have to go along with this for now...
The grunt led me out of the hideout, into a car. I got in with him and he immediately took off. I just kind of spaced out and thought about which starter Pokemon I would pick.
The Kimandra region is... Different. We had to have Pokemon shipped here from other regions, because we had none. So we had every Pokemon to exist so far, excluding legendary Pokemon. So, we can pick any starter from any region.
Our hideout was only a few miles from Springlake town. That explains why we're already there...
"The professor knows you're coming. I wish you luck." He said as I got out. Once I shut the door, he sped off. I'm on my own now...
If I wanted to, I could explain the whole situation to Professor Acacia and get my dad arrested. But he'd expect that. He'd be ready for anything like that...
I guess for now I have no choice...
