Chapter Ten- So Much For Plan A...

"Rise and shine, it is time to kidnap the gym leader, Gerard, of this town so that we may keep him safe," Kiari whispered in my ear as she nudged me gently.

"Oh, okay..." I mumbled as I sat up and rubbed my eyes.

"I hope you slept well, for we will need plenty of energy," explained Kiari. I nodded and grabbed my now clean and dry clothes from the hamper. That you, Nurse Joy, for cleaning them.

I walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower. I looked at the mirror and noticed how crazy my hair was.

It'll be easier to brush after my shower if I also brush it now. I thought as I grabbed the brush provided in the hotel. I quickly ran it through my hair a number of times and jumped in the shower. I didn't shower for long, so that we could get to Gerard before the killer. If the killer is going to kill Gerard, too.

Maybe our plan to get him to fake his death and go into hiding will work... But what about when a new gym leader takes the position of all the 'dead' gym leaders? It may end up being an endless cycle... I'm sure fath-- Cedric thought of that, right? Probably.

I got out of the shower and towel dried my hair the best I could, then dried the rest of me and threw my clothes on. I brushed my hair, happy and that I didn't have to yak half my hair out to get it to look nice.

I grabbed my dirty clothes and walked out, putting them in my bag. We don't have time to wash them. Good thing I've got two pairs of pyjamas.

Lucifer happen into the shower and I sat on the bottom bunk, mentally going over the plan.

Okay, so I beat him in a Pokemon battle to receive my badge. Then, we explain what's going on and hope he understands. It's got more holes than Swiss cheese, but it's all we've got. I thought whilst twiddling my thumbs.

Once Lucifer got out, he packed his belongings and walked outside.

"Valiant hero Emilia, remember my suggestion to catch a fire type Pokemon." Kiari said as I looked at the finally clear sky. There was only a thin strip of light signalling the sunrise, but the clouds were all the way at at the Kima Volcano. Thank Arceus I won't be soaked today.

"Okay, I'll take a look around the route." I said, heading towards the route leading back to Wren Town. Most Pokemon were still dozing off, but they were sleeping out in the open. I walked around until I saw a Litleo sleeping by itself. A cheap catch, but a catch nonetheless.

I threw the Pokeball at the sleeping Pokemon, catching it easily.

"Cheater." Lucifer scoffed.

"Shut up." I growled. I sent the Litleo out, and it looked around in horror before glaring at me.

"It appears to dislike you." Kiari mumbled.

"Hey, Litleo! Sorry for catching you like that, but I wanted you on my team. You've got two other Pokemon to be your friends, want to meet them?" I said in a soothing tone, calming the Pokemon down.

"Lit!" It said, motioning over to where it used to be sleeping. It ran over there, pointing at something, and of course I followed.

"Oh, is Pachirisu your friend? You want me to catch her too?" I whispered, recieving a nod. I threw a Pokeball at the small, sleeping Pokemon and caught it easily.

I sent her out, and she was frightened just like Litleo was. However, when she saw the Litleo, she calmed down.

"Hey guys, you're my friends and partners!" I exclaimed quietly with a smile. Pachirisu and Litleo nervously smiled back.
