Actually, there was a girl. A girl with the same hair as Kiari's. She ran away to "live her own life". It's not that I had ever forgotten about her, I just never made that connection. It doesn't make sense, though. Why is that important?

"Why is that so important?" I feel the stares of both the people in this room. Their stares burn into my skin, as if the answer was obvious.

The man that I was finally beginning to hate less laughs loudly, as if he was a cliché villain. The man that apparently loved me began to float, as if someone had used Wingardium Leviosa on him. I stared in confusion, before he swooped down and wrapped that tattered fabric around Kiari,

I want to help. Why am I doing nothing? I'm not moving, not doing anything to save her. I didn't save the one true friend I had, and now it's too late for my sorry existence to save her.

The teal haired girl fell to the ground, with a dead look to her eyes. That weird cloak had killed her as if she had a heart attack. I could have saved her, why didn't I?

"Deep down, you didn't really care," Lucifer chuckled as he returned to his position in the air. "You were raised for five years to care for no one, and those feelings kept you from saving her. And those feelings will keep you from saving this little fellow." Lucifer stuck his hand out, and Turtwig flew out of his Pokeball and into his hand, as if by magic.

"T-Turtwig!" I shouted, sticking my arm into the air, as if that would save him.

"Why do humans to that?" Lucifer asked, almost to himself. "They do simple things like physically reaching out, despite knowing that they're doing nothing to help. It's like an act of desperation, a last resort. Are you already at your last resort?"

"I-I..." I stuttered. Is this my last act of desperation? Is this really all I've got?

"Again, humans always question themselves. It's so unusual that even if they know they're right, they can doubt themselves. Why are you doubting yourself? If you have no other way to save your Turtwig, your on your last resort. You're acting foolishly because you do not know what to do." And with that, Lucifer dropped Turtwig into his cloak.

"Turtwig!" I shouted, tears welling up.

"Your tears are instinctual." Lucifer sighed. "And so is calling out his name. You don't feel as close as you should to your Turtwig, but you brain thinks that you need to act as if you love him with all of your 'heart', and more. Your brain knows Turtwig is a friend, so when he died, your brain instinctually made you cry. You shouted his name again as a last resort. You are probably confused, but you certainly don't know what to do. But you probably could have thought of something. However, you freaked out. Your brain was more focused on what was going on, rather than fixing it. It's funny how humans think they are advanced, really. They're so simple. I can read you humans like a book."

Lucifer dropped Turtwig's body to the ground. I stared at the motionless Pokemon wide eyed in shock. I got him in honour of my mom, and he died just like she did.

"Turt... Turtwig..." I mumbled, tears streaming down my eyes like a dam that broke from the weight of the water. I didn't cry per se, I just stared in shock at the two peaceful bodies with tears silently flowing.

"Listen... Emilia," Lucifer sighed . "I do love you, I truly do. I mean, I'm not exactly human, but at the same time, I am simply a human that understands humans well, I guess. But, whenever I look at you... My heart goes.... 'Doki doki'... I think that's what you humans call it."

Despite the current situation, I couldn't help but chuckle. "That's the weeaboo way of saying it. So much for 'understanding humans'."

"Shut up," Lucifer grumbled. "Anyway... I didn't expect to love you when I first met you. It really shocks me, even now. But, I put orders above my feelings. Of I'm ordered to kill you... then so be it."

"Well, I can tell that much, you killed two of the things I cared... the two beings I loved the most!"

"Wait, you're into girls and bestiality?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Lucifer, no," I sighed. "One, I didn't mean it like that. Two, this is supposed to be a serious moment. I was going to sob, but you ruined the moment.

"Well, sorry then..." he grumbled. "But still, don't think my love for you comes between my orders. I will kill everyone you love and even you if Cedric orders me to... Um... I'm sorry about that..." Lucifer landed back on the ground and jumped out of the window, showing no signs of injury. He ran away, towards the docks.

I stared at the two dead bodies. I'll never get to see these two again... The only person I've ever come to care about, and the Pokemon I got in honour of my deceased mom, both dead. Lucifer killed them both, because Cedric ordered him too...

They'll feel the pain of death, too...
