After Councillor Alina's death all Viessa could think about was that. Well, and Flare. She didn't even pay much attention to her classes during school. Today was the councillor's planting and Viessa had to go there alone to investigate for the Black Swan. Viessa loved investigating but this was just getting weirder and weirder by days.

Viessa leaped over to Wanderling woods where the planting was happening. She saw a large crowd already gathered near the trees. The Councillors were looking very tired on the hill where they were to plant Alina's tree.

Viessa stood at the back of the crowd, scanning for any signs of violence and suspicion. She saw a group of three darkly cloaked people near a grove of trees whispering to each other.

Viessa got a bit suspicious of them and started sneaking towards them quietly. As she sneaked closer, the voices got louder and louder. She stood behind a tree watching and listening to what they said.

"This is so stupid," a male's voice grumbled. "Even more stupid than the Moonlark's planting."

"If I have to sit through another sob party, I will scream," a female's voice sighed.

A more familiar voice started speaking, "Well, whatever. These woods are stupid. I'd rather go be stepped on by an ogre than sit through this." The female's voice laughed loudly.

Viessa narrowed her eyes, those three people seemed like Neverseen members. Wait, a second. That third voice seemed very familiar, who could it be?

"Ugh, and they haven't even started yet," the male complained.

Viessa thought carefully and after two minutes of listening to them, Viessa figured out who the familiar person was. It was Flare, that dumb sassy Neverseen girl who she had met during the Alina Investigation.

She turned to watch as the two other Neverseen members locked hands.

"We have to go check in with the other group," the female told Flare.

"Uh-huh. Sure," Flare said with a sing-song voice.

"Come on, ignore her," the female told the male and they walked off together still holding hands.

Now was Viessa's chance to talk to Flare. Maybe she could get some information from her to tell the Black Swan.

"Hey, Flare!" Viessa greeted, when the other Neverseen members were out of sight.

Flare whipped around to find Viessa standing there, "Oh, you."

"Yeah, so," that girl was already anoyinning her.

"What do you want, Essa?" Flare said impatiently, tapping her foot on the ground.

"Nothing," Viessa said, a little too quickly.

"Well, then," Flare said, turning to leave.

"Wait, don't leave," Viessa told her. Flare turned back around to face Viessa.

"Yes?" she asked.

"What are the Neverseen planning to do next?" Viessa asked quickly, she didn't want to back out now.

"And why would I tell you?" Flare crossed her arms.

"Um.....because." Viessa mentally slapped herself. She shouldn't have asked this question without thinking about a way to convince this Flare girl.

"So, I should highlight all the Neverseen's plans because you asked me?" Flare asked incredulously.

"No....." Viessa trailed off. "But I want to stay safe you know,"

Flare cocked a head in Viessa's direction, "Well, it's nothing to concern yourself with, you're good."

"How do I know that you're not lying?" Viessa asked Flare, her voice challenging.

"If I was, I would be convulsing on the ground with guilt right now," Flare dead-panned.

"Oh, sure," Viessa said. "You're a Neverseen member. All Neverseen members are killing innocent people all the time,"

"Is that what you think? The Black Swan are dumber than they look. Of course we don't kill people. I've never killed someone. And neither has Raven or Ruy. Only the big leagues would do something like that," Flare explained.

"Oh, so that's who you were with. Raven and Ruy." Viessa smiled, at least she figured out another Neverseen member, Raven.

"Yep! Is this interrogation over now?" Flare complained.

"No, it's probably going to take another few hours," Viessa sighed, this would get really boring.

Flare sighed along, "I have places to be. I don't have all day. And why would I tell you everything I know about the Neverseen?"

"Because you want to help others," Viessa stated, like it was obvious.

"You're just like my friend, talking nonsense. And why would I want to help others again?" Flare sighed. "Look, I have to go soon, so, yeah."

"You help others because you want the world to be a better place," Viessa told her. "I have to go soon too but don't you have to stay until Raven and Ruy come back?"

"And what if I don't think the world deserves a second chance? Especially those lousy Councillors. And I can go wherever I like. Bye!" Flare said, immediately leaping away as soon as Viessa dismissed her.

Viessa got bored after a few minutes after Flare left and decided to leave too. There was nothing more to investigate other than the Neverseen and Alina didn't really deserve all of the people watching her planting. She had already learned that there was a girl named Raven in the Neverseen.

Viessa took out her leaping crystal and leaped away from the Wanderling woods, completely missing the planting.
