chapter 34

          There was uncomfortable silence floating in the air during the entire day in the house which once used to be filled with only love. Now there was nothing but resentment, hatred and distress piled up in every corner. The existent situation was affecting the blonde male the most who had been walking around the entire house since the early morning after Soobin left and didn't come back. Yeonjun was still nowhere in sight too and Huening Kai had been avoiding him at all costs, causing Taehyun to bury himself in deep desperation as he had no idea what he was supposed to do. He wasn't daring to call his friends since he didn't want to invade their privacy further, but he also couldn't help but be sick worried about them.

          On the other hand, he also didn't know what to do with his boyfriend, he didn't want to apologise, at least not until Huening Kai had analyzed his mistake, but that silence and tension between them were suffocating him too badly. He would flop onto the couch occasionally or go to the window to look out of it and check whether Soobin or Yeonjun had come, but he could see nothing besides the beautiful yard spread out in front of him. He even drank four cups of coffee to beguil boring and torturing hours, but his knee wouldn't stop bouncing up and down from nervousness.

          It was the evening when he heard the sound of the car from the outside and his eyes widened dramatically. A little gasp escaped his lips as he slammed the cup on the table and quickly ran outside to see Yeonjun getting out of his car with a blank expression and the younger's heart raced in excitement as he saw his friend being alive and all healthy because he hadn't been answering his calls since the day before and Taehyun couldn't help but think that something bad had happened to him again.

          "Hyung", he yelled and quickly ran to the boy, following him behind like a tail as he walked up the stairs and entered the house, "Where have you been? I was very worried. I thought something-"

          "I'm fine, Taehyun", Yeonjun answered in a deep, raspy voice which lacked all kinds of emotions and Taehyun's heart tightened painfully because his friend just looked empty.

          "But, hyung-"

          "I'll be on the balcony", Yeonjun quickly cut him off and headed to the other end of the hall, causing the blonde male to stay behind him as sadness had settled in his big, doe eyes which watched his hyung opening the door and going to the balcony without any more word.

          The blonde let out a stressful sigh and let his shoulders rise and fall in frustration as his gaze moved off the boy as soon as he disappeared from his eyesight. He turned towards the living room and attempted to walk inside, but then he heard several knocks on the door and his attention darted to it. He sauntered towards the entrance, hoping Soobin would have come back, but after he opened the door, he saw Beomgyu standing in the door frame, his distressed eyes fixing on the younger.

          "Beomgyu?", Taehyun asked in confusion as the male was someone he could least expect at that moment.

          "Is Yeonjun at home?", Beomgyu asked directly after he mustered up enough courage and realised he was ready to meet the boy, earning a nod from the blonde.

          "Yes", Taehyun answered in a puzzled tone and stepped aside to give the other male the way into the house, "Come in"

          Beomgyu stepped inside and Taehyun closed the door. It wasn't like he hated the boy, on the contrary, he was very thankful that he had saved his friend so many times, but he didn't like his presence at all, because if Soobin came back and saw him there, no one knew what disaster he would cause, "He is on the balcony, did he ask you to come?"

          Beomgyu shook his head as he followed the blonde male who led him towards the balcony in the back of the house, "No, I need to ask him for a favour"
