chapter 47

6th dimension, April 27, 2030

          It was dark and friends had gathered in the park, talking about different things. Yeonjun was leaning against Beomgyu's shoulder while Soobin, Taehyun and Huening Kai sat on another bench beside each other, their faces happy as they chatted about Yeonjun and Beomgyu's upcoming wedding and how amazing it would be to finally see them with marriage rings on their fingers.

          "I'd never imagine that I and Taehyun would be faster than you two", Soobin said with a smile on his face as he held his blonde husband's hand, rings shining on their fingers beautifully under the bright luminescence of the night. 

          Huening Kai chuckled as he took a bite out of his cheesecake which Taehyun had given him earlier during supper, munching loudly as he replied, "That's right, you guys are too slow", he said to the two eldest, then smiled widely at Beomgyu when he looked over at him.

          "Just wait a few more days and then no one will ever manage to separate me and my Junnie!", he joked, squeezing Yeonjun's waist tightly which made the latter smile faintly, but he was somewhere else and Beomgyu could notice that. He knew Yeonjun was still thinking about his lost brother, but Beomgyu knew perfectly what he could do to make it better for him.

          Taehyun wrapped his hands around Soobin's upper arms and rested his head on his shoulder as he watched his friend's brooding expression, noticing that something was wrong. Yeonjun was supposed to be happy now that he and Beomgyu were finally getting married in a few days but instead, he looked thoughtful and lost in his own thoughts like he had been all evening long.

          "Junnie's nervous about the wedding, I see", he teased playfully, making the older turn to look at him.

          Yeonjun forced a smile, squeezing Beomgyu's hand in his own, "Of course, I am. I'm getting married to the love of my life after all"

          Beomgyu looked down at him in his arms, eyes full of sparkles of happiness and adoration, "Then we'll adopt kids, so we can be a complete family"

          Yeonjun let go of Beomgyu's hand, wrapping an arm around his shoulders instead. "That sounds nice," he agreed happily, "We can even buy a dog and name him... uhmm..."

          "Dude!", Soobin exclaimed, "Are sure you can handle this much stress in your life?", he asked curiously, chuckling which earned him a playful slap on the shoulder from his husband. He looked to the side only to meet with the sight of Taehyun's upset expression.

          "Did you really call children stress, huh?", he asked with a pout, "Is that why you never want kids?"

          Soobin shook his head and smiled at his spouse lovingly, "No, babe", he leaned forward to peck Taehyun on the lips gently. "I already told you I wanted to have some free time with you first, but if you want kids so much then we can make one when we get home, what do you think, hm?", he asked with a smirk playing on his lips, making the younger blush crazily as he pushed him away.

          The three friends laughed at the cute display between the two as they continued talking about random stuff, enjoying their time together. When it was dark enough, everyone decided to go back home, including Yeonjun and Beomgyu. The couple sat in Yeonjun's car and drove away after the latter started an engine.

          "I'll drop you off first", Yeonjun said as his eyes were fixed on the busy road ahead. The traffic jam used to be worse than ever at night since it was the time when most people would go back home from work.

          "No", Beomgyu said, earning a curious glance from the younger, "I'm coming to your place. We need to talk to your parents, did you forget?"
