Probably the most contradictory chapter name I've ever come up with lmao
The Nether Realm
A bolt of lightning came across the sky, and zapped the ground from an angle. From where the lightning struck, Thunder and Nyx rose up and walked into the castle, both carrying something small and illuminant.
They approached Erebus in the main hall.
"How did it go?" he asked. Thunder revealed a bright yellow shard, and Nyx held out a slightly dark green one. "Electricity and Nature, excellent finds! What did it take to get those?"
Thunder smiled. "It called out to me, as I possess the same form of power."
Erebus nods. "And you, sister?"
"I convinced a queen..." she smirked. "In fact, she's with us as we speak."Erebus looked behind Nyx to find another dragoness walking into the hall, leaves forming in the concrete as she walked onto it and disappearing shortly after. Her majesty was coated in vibrant lime scales and multiple darker green leaves attached to herself around her head and tail, with thorn-like horns and glistening blue eyes.
"Lieutenant Erebus, I pleasure to finally meet you." she said calmly. "I've heard a lot about you."
Erebus bowed. "From rags to riches I see, Queen Flora."
She chuckled. "I assume my own death is the 'rags' part of that, yes?"
"I suppose so." Erebus looked to Thunder. "You know what to do with those by now. I'll take Flora to Master Dryden and break down the plan." And with that they left. After locking up the shard alongside the other artifacts, Thunder stood outside the fortress by himself like he always did. As he began to let his thoughts wander, he thought of Myra. She would probably be missing him right now. He'd been away from here for quite some time now, longer than he normally would be anyway.
He thought of how she could be right now. The only image that appeared in his mind was her standing right where he left her, waiting for his return."You don't need her, mortal." Came a voice in his mind.
Thunder growled. "Now isn't the time... and I am no mortal."
The voice laughed. "It's never the time with you, is it? Your primary emotion hasn't changed from depression since you were born."
"You've been in my head for most of my life, does that come as a surprise?" Thunder grew slightly tempered.
"No matter. When the time comes, you'll wish I stayed right here."Thunder struggled to think like himself all the while that voice was there. It basically controlled him emotionally.
"You know, I would still be with Myra if it wasn't for you." he said sternly.
The voice laughed again. "Myra this, Myra that... she may not even be alive anymore." The voice grew more sinister. "After all, it was you that left her alone."
"Stop!" Thunder yelled out loud. The voice became silent. "Zeus as my witness, I will terminate you Rezzol."He stood motionless for a small moment. As he stayed in place, the two smallest dark dragons saw him from inside.
"What's he doing just standing there?" asked Amber.
Teran looked at him. "Probably just being sad." He laughed to himself. "Come on let's go look at something more interesting." They both ran back to where they normally were, running past Xavier as they headed off.
"I really wish I could decapitate those children." he thought to himself. "It's a shame they're needed."Xavier turned towards the door furthest from the entrance and walked in. The round table in the middle took up half of the room, with a chandelier hanging just above. Around the table stood Dryden, Flora, and two others.
Nemesis, the dragoness beside Dryden, was a bit larger than Flora with dark shaded scales and lacked a different accent colour. Her eyes were a dull pink, and held 10 jagged horns on her head. Her tail had three spikes, pointing different directions.
The dragon stood beside her, Xerocia, was made of very dark red scales and dim purple accents. His 4 horns all pointed directly upwards, and he held no tail spike at all.
