The Nether Realm

Thunder stood right beside the gates of the fortress, which stood tall, made up of impenetrable basalt-like bricks. He faded in and out of reality, constantly thinking to himself.
"I figured I'd finally be rid of my demons when I left, but little did I know they'd follow me forever..."
The never ending cycle of self-argument in his mind physically hurt him.

He stays motionless and emotionally immobilised. Thunder headed into the corrupted fortress, distressed and distraught.
All he ever wanted was to be appreciated by somebody, to not be beaten and broken down time and time again, to be free of his inner rage and hate.
But it took over him; it plagued his very mind and soul. There was nothing good left to see in him.

Thunder stared lifelessly into the ground for what seemed like an eternity, and not a single spark of life emerged from his stone-cold face.
From the other end of the room stood Kyrasklis: The yellow and blue dragon, only a little bigger than his own son.
"Your depression disgusts me." he simply said, walking past him. "Fix your emotions while you still have them."

Kyrasklis made his way towards the gate where Thunder used to be, scraping his claws on the ground as he did so. He stood at his station, right beside Vendetta.
"So you rely on this technology, correct?" Kyrasklis asks him.
Vendetta's voice box clutters. "Correct. It'll be death if I didn't have it."
Kyrasklis simply nods. "As for your sister... isn't she dealing with the pesky younglings as of now?"
"Yes she is." His voice bugged out every few seconds during speech. "It'll only be a matter of time until they're ready."

Kyrasklis took a quick look over towards Spectre on the decaying fields, watching as she drilled into the younglings.
"Come on mortals, get your acts together!" she yelled over at the younger girl. "Your revenge won't happen if you carry on like this!"
He glanced in that direction and noticed that the once pink dragoness was attacking the purple one.

She swiped for his face. "Get over here!"
"Please, just leave me alone..."
"Well I won't stop until I'm ready!"
The dark dragoness continued swinging for him with a full intention of making him suffer.
"Let me have at him!" the corrupted Teran demanded, essentially pushing Amber out of the way just to reach Zane. "If your parents are anything like you, it'll be so much easier to torture them."

Spectre witnessed the brutality firsthand, but smiled wickedly at the sight. Kyrasklis, from a distance, showed no remorse or respect for the child.

Meanwhile, deeper into the fortress, high pitched screeches of pain echoed throughout the halls, signifying the cruel acts of the one upon the throne.
Jameson, Brady, Aaverey and Keenan were gathered within the Control Chamber, all circling around a smaller dragoness.
"Please, can't we figure this out?" she whispered, begging for mercy.

Before any of them tried to attack, the main doors to the chamber opened up.
"Leave her be for now." said the black and blue dragon. "Put her back in the cell."
Jameson, infuriated by the missed opportunity, lobbed the young girl back into an empty cell and locked it tight.
"What is it you wish, Master?" Brady asked.

The authority grinned. "I want each of you to find me a specific crystal in the remaining realms: Psychic, Soul, Time and Aquatic." he ordered. "Brady to Aqua, Aaverey to Soul, Keenan to Time and Jameson to Psychic. Do not fail me."
The dragons all nodded before making haste to the exit, leaving only the throned one by himself.

From the doorway, a black dragon with neon purple spikes and horns glided in.
"Master Korbin..." He looked in her direction. "Some of them are near the Realm."
He sighed. "Send the Servers to the Psychic Realm, all four of them." Anger clear in his expression, Korbin bolted out of the room with light speed.
Nyx, rather conflicted with herself, followed behind him.

Korbin zipped towards Erebus, whom was just walking by. "Erebus, keep a close eye on the Control Chambers until further notice."
Without batting an eye, Erebus went straight down to the chambers.
"Oh, and Nyx..." Korbin started, looking behind him. "See if you can grab the Light Shard from the Sacred Skies."
Nyx nodded. "I'm on it!"

All of the dragons separated, leaving Korbin upon the throne.

———————————————

You read all that right. Korbin was the throned one all this time. And he's smarter than he may seem.

Sorry for the long delay!
Seriously it's like 750 words long, why'd it take so long?

It's been ya boi,
