Hierarchy and Havoc

This chapter is a LOT longer than the standard ones, so bear with me.
I had a lot to fit in here.

The Psychic Realm

Cynder got up and found herself in a familiar environment. All around her, floating rocks drifted slowly across the air, tinted a light purplish pink.
"Here again..." she thought to herself. She looked around her for anybody else, and right next to her, a fire-like dragon began to rise up.

The dragon noticed Cynder immediately. "Why does everything look pink?" he asked her.
"That's just what this place looks like." she replied. "Tons of pink floating rocks... not much else to it."

"I'd like to disagree with that." came a different voice. As Cynder looked over, she saw Ruby just to her left.
"What do you mean? There is more than just... well... this?" Flame asked.
She rolled her eyes. "Of course there is. I was raised here."
"Well, that aside, we need to find all the others." Cynder said, clearly worried.
Ruby thought for a moment. "They could be in the city. Let's check around there."

Ruby used her psychic ability to detect where the city was from their location, and took flight to get there. The three of them landed in the middle of the city, and agreed that they should go to the main castle.
As they stepped in, the glittering walls sparkled whenever the light hit it, the floor reflecting everything above it like a mirror.
"Ruby?" The voice speaking sounded almost shocked.

A dragoness very similar to Ruby stood amongst the throne, wielding a few extra long horns nearer the top of her head, and a much more spiked tail. The colours in her wings and horns also consisted of green and yellow, as opposed to Ruby's blue and pink.

Ruby recognised her instantly. "Wait... Skyla? Is that really you?" she asked.
The princess showed a sudden change in emotion in her expression. "Yes, it's me. You're... alive..."
Ruby stepped closer to her sister. Both of them were amazed by the mere fact that they were both alive.
"Where have you been this whole time?" Skyla asked.
"I've been in the Dragon City: Warfang."
The princess couldn't help but smile. "I'm happy that you were able to return, even if it's only temporarily."

Skyla looked over to Flame and Cynder. "Flame, I've heard good things about you. And Cynder... you're a little bit shorter since I last saw you."
"Don't remind me." she said dead-faced.
She laughed quietly. "Now, that aside, you need help getting back to your loved ones, don't you?"
They simply nodded. Skyla thought of any way that she could help.

She then got an idea. "I can send you through a one-way rift to their location. Should I do that?" she asked them.
"So long as we can reach them, I'll take any option." Flame replied.
"Agreed." Cynder added.
Skyla began to cast a spell. "Now fair warning: I cannot control the specific location as to where this takes you, so you may end up in the sky, underground, anything."

The rift opened up on the ground, and just before they all jumped in, Ruby turned to her sister.
"Stay safe, okay?" she said to Skyla.
She smiled. "I will."
Cynder, Ruby and Flame headed through the rift to appear in the near vicinity of the Nature Realm.

The Nature Realm

Isaboki was the first to wake up that morning, rising up with a yawn. The Sun was only just beginning to rise, so it wasn't all that bright out yet.
