In the Year of the Dragon, in a world beyond the Realms...
I, like all the others, awaited the birth of the dragon of whom the prophecies foretold. The prophecies also spoke of a group of dragons with otherworldly power, born once every 20 generations. And this time, the birth of the purple dragon had aligned with this special time.
But the Dark Master heard the prophecies aswell...
I should have hidden the eggs long before, but I... I thought they were ready. I thought they were safe...Oh, how I was wrong.
The room began to rumble violently, with the elder looking over his shoulders in worry.
"Save them! The Dark Armies have come..." a yellow and blue elder shouted from the entrance.
The orange dragon picked up the sacred purple egg and blasted the elemental door with blazing flames, allowing his escape. The dragon flew out of the Temple, merging with the darkness of the night sky, and came to land by a blue shaded river. He placed the egg within a mushroom top, and sent it down the glowing water.
"May the Ancestors look after you..." the dragon elder called out to the egg, deeply scared. "May they look after us all."The dragon flew back to the Temple ruins, only to be greeted with havoc and chaos.
Egg shells were scattered and smashed, the ground was torn apart, and the walls were being broken down. Some eggs had even been taken, rather than broken.Soon after their temporary retreat, Ignitus noticed a crack in the ground, with a small colour that opposed the Temple's. Opening up the ground revealed four special eggs: One grey, one red, one light blue, and one pink.
Ignitus knew these eggs were special, so he took them far away, back towards the Realms, where each of them would find a quiet home to live peacefully in.Present Day, 12th of Capricorn
The Storm RealmBolts of lightning struck at the dark green grassy land, accompanied by thunder mere seconds afterwards. Droplets of rain fell gracefully down from the heavens, and the clouds flooded the skies, turning it dull.
A lone figure wandered the fields in hatred, isolating himself from the world in which he used to be accepted in.
"Damned dragons... forgetting about me..."
The creature repetitively stomped the ground in frustration at the mere thought of the dragons in his mind. This creature was never truly accepted, no matter where he went, even in his home land. Everywhere except Warfang.
But even so, the ones that he did greet and befriend eventually began to ignore his presence, going as far as forgetting him entirely.A subtle howl was heard in the distance. Those wolves always seemed to know when a foreign life force entered their domain.
"Wolves..." The creature stood and thought for a moment. "Wolves, of course!"
He ran towards the howling.Dragon City of Warfang, Near Dusk
The Sun blazed above the grand city as a large group of dragons, old and young, were running and jumping around the fields surrounding the city.
Alongside the much bigger dragons were three younglings.
The young boy Dante consisted of black scales and purple horns, undersides and spikes. His eyes were light blue. His 4 outer horns bent inwards slightly, whilst the other two centre horns poked outwards.
Arkhalis: A light grey dragoness with light blue accents and cyan eyes. Her wings were much more angelic than the rest, and her horns closely resembled Dante's, except there were a few more.
And finally Lilith, the child of Spyro and Cynder. A dark purple dragoness, matching the colour of Spyro's horns and undersides. Her horns seemed similar to her mother's, and she wore a shiny purple gem necklace at all times, complementing her pink eyes.Just to be clear:
Dante is Rhonan and Maya's,
Arkhalis is Ouranos and Relic's,
Lilith is Spyro and Cynder's.They all frolicked around, chasing after one another.
"Catch me if you can!" yelled out the young Arkhalis.
Dante began to slowly catch up. "Just you wait!"
The young boy transformed into liquid, dashed in front and solidified right in front of Arkhalis.
She stopped dead in her tracks, stopping just in front of Dante's face. He tapped her gently on the nose. "Gotcha." He said mockingly.
"Whoa! How did you do that?" asked Lilith.
Dante grinned. "Ask my mom." Maya couldn't help but chuckle."The powers that us dragons use are controlled by our feelings." Cynder began to explain.
Lilith looked up confused. "What feeling gives you powers?"Just as a reminder: The characters don't have to be feeling these emotions at the time of using the powers, but these emotions are what drive and empower those abilities.
Fire: Rage & Love
Electricity: Anger
Ice: Bitterness
Water: Sadness & Love
Earth: Determination
Wind: Stress
Psychic: Serenity (Calm) & Anger
Poison: Disgust
Fear: I don't need to explain
Nether (Dark): Hatred
Aether (Light): Love & Reminiscence
Time: Reminiscence
Spirit (Soul): Serenity (Calm)"So for example, if your father felt angry, he would spit fire!" she continued. The children all seemed fairly shocked, besides Dante of course.
Spyro noticed this. "Dante, you okay? You don't seem fazed by any of this."
"Huh? Oh, I've been told this before." he replied, with no facial expression present at all."Dante, do you think you could show me how to do that trick you showed us?" Lilith asked him, practically begging him.
He sighed. "I can't just teach you. The elder guardians would be the ones to ask that."
"Ah, you're all yet to meet the guardians." Ouranos started. "Perhaps it's about time you met them."
Relic looked towards the young black dragon. "Except you, Dante, you've been there and done that."By this point, the winter Sun was setting, casting an early night time upon Warfang.
All of the dragons, old and young, began to rest within the Dragon Temple just beside the city centre.
Snow had begun falling heavily outside, and the cold breeze blew stronger as the Sun continued to fall behind the horizon.
Not a single thing kept the halls alight, creating little heat and the bitter cold flowed in. All of the dragons circled were in their respective areas, deep in their sleep.
All but one.One dragon in particular was sat in the corner of the room, writing into what seemed like a book with a scriber's quill.
"She's been pretty comforting to me, especially when I'm feeling a little dull. She's always there for me when I need her."
The young dragon was lost deep in thought, like concentrating on a sound nearby.
"Thank you for being so kind and thoughtful of me."
The dragon closed the book and creeped back to their parents, resting beside them for the remainder of the night.A small distance away, sat upon a high overlooking cliff face was a bright yellow dragon with blue undersides and accents.
However, this dragon lacked horns, instead possessed ears. It's large blue eyes glistened when the moonlight shone upon them.
Behind it, a slightly smaller white dragon lied peacefully upon the ground. The yellow dragon sat beside the white one, encasing the smaller dragon in it's golden embrace. The glow emitting from the golden fur soon dimmed, signifying the start of his slumber.
