Y/N's pov
I was tossing and turning in my bed. I couldn't fall asleep. I sat up in my bed tilt my head to the side to checked if Hermione or Ginny were awake but they seems to be deep in sleep. So I decided to don't disturbed them. I walked from my bed and put a coat, took my wand, book and silently tip-toed out of our dorm and went towards comman room. No one was there. I silently walked out of common room and walking in corridors without making a sound. I make my way towards Black lake and sat under a tree in grasses.
A full moon hovered in the sky, it's look beautiful and the stars gazing in the night look so perfect.Wind blows from sea and the sound of waves crashing on the lake is one of the relaxing feeling which freshen up my mind and calm down me. I opened my book and slightly reading until I hear some faint noises behind me.I quickly picked my wand as I stood up and turned around. Someone walking towards my direction."LUMOS" I said as some source of light coming from the tip of the wand. I quickly recognized the person as I saw him in the light. It was-
"Marcus, you scared me?" I said to him.
"Y/N, I'm sorry I don't mean to scare you." He said rubbing his neck.
"It's fine, what are you doing at this time?" I asked him while sitting again in the grass signalling him to sit with me.
"Well, I find trouble in sleeping so I went for a walk. And same question goes to you, what you are doing here?" He said while sitting beside me.
"I got same problem as you, so here I am." I said to him while picking up my book and put bookmark in it so closed it.
"Whenever I see you, you always reading book, are you sure you're in the right house, because it's seems like sorting hat by mistakenly put you in Gryffindor." He said looking and laughing at me .I playfully rolled my eyes and hit his chest.
"Hahahah, very funny. So what you think which house should I be in than?" I asked him.
"Maybe Ravenclaw." He said smiling at me.
"Thanks goodness you didn't say slytherin, well I don't mind being in Ravenclaw, but I am good in my house." I told me him while giving a smile.
"If you don't mind, can I ask you something?" He asked me looking in my eyes. I nodded my head .As he continued.
"WILL YOU GO YULE BALL WITH ME". He asked in nervous tone.I was in complete shock. Like I didn't Expected that.
"If you already have a date then it's fine. I don't mind." He said to me while looking down upset.
"No,no, it's not like that. I don't have any partner. And, yes I would definitely go with you." I said while giving him a Polite smile. We talked more about classes and stuff. Later we decided to go back to the castle and bid goodnights to eachother as we separate to our ways to our house.
