Calum's pov :
Whiskey burned down my throat and I smiled. This was the only time I felt good anymore. When I'm wasted. My lips are chapped, and my breath sour. I'm a wreck. She was the only reason I was trying to get better.
Oblivious to what my hands were doing I called her number. To my surprise she answered.
"Hey babe, what are you up to." I slurred.
I could hear her shallow breathing on the other end and swallowed. I missed her. I missed the way she would sing her words when she was happy. I missed the way she kissed my neck. The way she was timid before she kissed me, like I was the breakable one. I missed her touch, but not as much as I miss her heart.
"I'm at the hospital."
I automatically sobered.
"What?"
"Are you okay?"
"Do you need me there?"I heard her snort.
"No I don't need you here. The only reason I answered was to inform you I got into a fist fight with Dalton Hemmings."
She paused letting the words sink in.
"That's right. The girl you slept with behind my back. I won by the way."
"Wait-". She hung up.
I was so confused. I hadn't cheated. I would never cheat on her. Especially with Dalton Hemmings. She tried to have sex with me last year, and when I refused her and some of her friend drugged me and tied me down. Then they did awful things to me, only to afterwards tell people I was a player. I hate her.
Then I thought about how hazy the night of the party had been. My body shook all over with rage.
I'm going to kill Dalton.
I grabbed a gun and headed to the hospital. I was rushing inside when I saw her, my Sadie.
"I never cheated Sadie. Dalton drugged me. I only want you." I paused.
"I love you, and I'm going to prove it by killing Dalton."
