The Flow

I was letting my mind drift and i was contemplating my writing style. Yea, i'm weird like that. Anyway, i like to look at things in a non-biased way and go third person when judging my own stuff. And i found that my wattpad-uploading style is really strange. Usually, people write out a rough draft first, then type. For me, i just say "i want to upload" and sit in front of the computer, rereading the story i want to add to. Then i just hold the main idea in my mind and just type whatever comes to mind. That's either Writing genius or the reason why my writing REALLY sucks sometimes. Maybe both?

Why does this concern you, you ask? Because i got an inspiration for writing my poem from that? Crazy, huh? well, i'm a crazy, creative person. Who happens to be able to make a poem out of anything. :)

ENJOY!

The Flow

For a while i just stand,

enjoying the peace.

In this disaster,

also known as my life,

such serenity is rare.

The water is gently lapping at my ankles,

urging me to go on.

'Not just yet', i think.

Relaxing and stretching.

I walk on,

against the current.

The flow is getting stronger.

Trying to push me.

But i keep going.

step by step,

as the entire force of the river rushes the other direction.

I throw my head back and laugh.

At the bitter irony.

All my life, I've been running against the wind.

Heading in the unsupported way.

Compared to it, this is nothing.

When i get to a certain point,

The force is too strong for me to go against.

I surrender and sit at the riverbank.

Is this my current point in life?

Is this where I'm supposed to let go?

And go with the flow?

ok, this turned in a completely different direction than i planned. I WAS GOING TO write about running water, but the creative part of my mind didn't want that. I don't think it was very good... but i'm not a very good judge of my own work... Unless it IS the awesomest thing to be ever typed out. :)

Most of my poems have nothing to do with my life at the actual moment, or is greatly exaggerated...

Fiction at its greatest.

When i think of something that can be used as a poem, I'll write it!
