Chapter 55

"Are you alright?". For the fifth time now, Victoria had been asking me the same question.

And for the fifth time again, I mumbled.

"Yes. I'm awesome."

"Hmmm."

"How about you?". I ask as I put my feet up on the coffee table. It earned me a glare so I put it back down again.

"I'm fine. This is supposed to unravel in any way in the future so it is better for them to find out through us first."

I sighed. "Yeah, you're right. I'm just- if ever- just if ever she will flip and go against us, I will definitely race her to hell."

Victoria stared at me.

"What? I'm not gonna sit back and let her ruin the only relationship I want to last." I say and shrugged.

"You know that I'm actually 10 years older than you are, right?".

"You sure don't look like it. Without your killer heels, you are pretty much tiny than me." I say and shrugged again and she glared at me.

"If your mother does not want us to be together, I will be very sorry for her but I will fight for you." Victoria then says gave me a small smile.

"Hmmmm. I love you." I say and stood up.

"I love you too. I sometimes even sit and stare at nothing while thinking back on the days that you hated my face. What was it that you called me? Wicked grandmother witch?".

"Oh. Yeah. Oh.". I say and I remembered it. "By the way babe, have you already gone through the papers of me dropping out of your class?".

"Oh yeah oh." Victoria echoes in a mocking tone. "I signed them last night. I had Alberta sign it today. She sent me the email already."

"I'm sorry. And that's great, so we are not breaking any rule now. Literally." I sheepishly say.

"You're forgiven."

"Hmmm. Am I?". I grinned at her and she rolled her eyes at me.

I know she was about to retort but got cut off by my joker ringtone. She just scoffed. I looked at the caller ID and it's Madeleine.

"Yellow." I say.

"Where are you?".

"I'm at the love nest, why?".

"Well, you have to get here in the hospital now."

"What? Why? What happened?". I stood up and Victoria stood up too.

"Amanda almost broke Sandra's neck.". Madeleine says but with a bored tone.

"What?! Which hospital are you?".

"St. Anne's. Just come, I'll wait for you."

"Okay, I'll be there." I say and hung up the phone. I sighed and looked at Victoria.

"What was it?".

"Maddie said that my aunt almost broke Sandra's neck. I have to go to the hospital. I need to check on them and make sure that nobody's killing anybody."

"Did she say why?".

"Nope. I haven't had the chance to ask about the kid. She's the priority now. Mom will be here tonight." I say and clenched my teeth.

Victoria just stared at me.

"I'm sorry." I say and she shook her head.

"No. You're not supposed to say sorry about that." Victoria says and smiled softly at me.
