My Professor's Affair

Chapter 35

When Barbara opened the door with her sunglasses on at 8 o'clock in the morning, I instantly knew that they most likely had too much of everything last night.

"Goooood morning Doctor. My apologies, come in. Come in. Have you had your coffee yet? Maddie has this coffee from Hawaii, it's really amazing." She rambles on as I glance around the lavish apartment with some wine bottles on the floor, the couch has a pool of wet mess, the game controllers are also on the floor, some broken glass, food chips and is it a blunt burnt out on the edge of the coffee table? I don't really have to ask that, do I?

"Miss Hawthorne and I was supposed to have an early session today." I say as I find a clean place where I can put my bag down.

"Ohhh, yeah. She's in the shower. I think." She says as she pours coffee from the coffee maker.

I walked towards Diana's bedroom but Barbara gripped my arm so hard that I almost stumbled back.

"What?". I asked as I squint my eyes at her. "Don't tell me you made her drink last night." I growled at her.

"No no no.... It's just that-uhm- Toni, Maddie and I went overboard last night. We had to, uhm, sleep in the same room. So maybe if you come inside Dani's room, maybe, Toni's there." Barbara rambles again.

I frowned at her and squinted my eyesat her again. Without a word, I get out of her grip and walked towards Diana's bedroom. My hand shook and and my chest heaved with somewhat undiluted anger which I don't where came from.

I opened the door and immediately scanned the room. I saw brown hair splayed over the bed with pink toenails, the body covered by the same silky sheets I wrestled the other day. I don't have to look at the face to know that it is indeed Antoinette. Just staring dumbfoundly at the figure beneath the sheets, I didn't realized that Diana came out of her bathroom.

"Uhm-goodmorning." She says and I turned my attention towards her. "I was just done showering. The girls kinda went overboard last night."

At the corner I saw Antoinette's clothes beside the bed. I balled my hands into fists so hard that my nails are digging right unto my palm.

"Have you had your breakfast yet? Maddie has got these awesome coffee from Hawaii-".

I never let her finish her sentence and I walked out slamming the door behind me, not caring if Antoinette is sleeping.

I huffed and gritted my teeth. I was seething with anger.

"Uh-I'll start cleaning the mess." Barbara says while trying to stay out of my way. She started picking up the bottles on the floor. I grabbed my bag and put it on the coffee table. I enhaled and exhaled until it almost made me feel okay. But wasn't.

A few more minutes and Diana emerged out of her room and Antoinette on tow. I squinted my eyed again at them. Barbara eyed three of us suspiciously.

"Good morning again Professor." Diana says as she steps towards me.

I squinted my eyes at her and she non-chalantly walked towards the couch and sat. I followed suit and sat on the chair where I usually sit whenever we have a session. Just a few seconds, Antoinette came out of her room with a fresh look and just got showered.

I pursed my lips and opened my laptop. Trying to hide my face away from Diana whom I can feel eyeing my moves.

"Uhm-you guys wanna have breakfast?". Antoinette asked in a hesitant tone.

I looked up from my laptop and stared at her. "Me and Miss Hawthorne will be discussing her pre-emptive come back to the University so I need both of you to give us some privacy if you may."
