The restaurant was filled with noise of cluttering utensils and chatter. Though there was a few people who were not quite thrilled. There you sat, eating chicken and drinking some beer. Sighing with discontent and walking out of the restaurant while leaving the bill on the flat surface of your table.

The air was chilled but it had a calming atmosphere with it. You quickly walked across the road, desperately wanting to get into your apartment.

The loud noise of cop sirens blaring through the wind. Few police cars just outside of your apartment complex. Yellow caution tape surrounding the premises.

You quickly discard the tape and walk right into your home. A detective quickly stops you.

"Hey! I'm Detective Kim, Welcome to my crime scene. Can I help you find anything or are you just looking?" His voice laced with sarcasm.

"I'm just going home." You replie while reaching for your ID. You quickly hand it to him. "I live upstairs."

"Did you not happen to notice the yellow police tape that's marked 'Do not cross' on it?"

"If you're done with that, I'll just take it and go home." You told pointing to your identification.

"Do you know this woman?" The detective asks while showing you a picture of a young woman.

"No I've never seen her. What happened? She dead?"

"I haven't made any reference to homicide. Why would you make such a conclusion?"

"Well, you've got half the block taped off and you've got about a dozen cops in there fucking up your crime scene. It just doesn't seem like someone boosting stereos to me."

"Hey give me a call if you think of anything, all right?" He tells you and hands his card to your eager hand.

You grabbed the card out of his hand and walked up to your apartment.
