14. Comparing me

“Yeah, we did say bye but here you are in the apartment I will be staying in,” I said smiling without taking a break until Heachan dragged me back to the couch.

“Do you know Y/n?” Heachan asked as Jeno took a seat beside one of the people he came in with.

“We sat beside each other on the plane to Paris,” he said looking at me and I was ready to steal him away from everyone.

I hope he stays longer so he can help me with the book. “Where did you forget to tell me that when I asked you that?” Renjun asked me giving me a death stare and I, unfortunately, blamed Heachan.

“I was going to but then Heachan rang on the door and stole my words,” I said for the first time looking away from Jeno, but I could feel his smile tickling me.

“By the way, this is Jisung, Jaemin, and Chenle. The two of them are actors and this one is the film producer” Jeno said introducing me to his friends. I am also a bit in shock that Heachan and Renjun already know them, I wonder if they know Mark?

“Thanks for the introduction, I need to head quickly to my room,” I said and stood up giving the blanket to Heachan and throwing my feet into the slippers.

Avoiding eye contact with everyone knowing that my phone is ringing and I am getting yelled at. I shut the door just as fast as I get in and exhale out deeply to calm my anger down.

“Hello mother,” I said putting the phone near my ear but turning a bit of the sound down to not cause any damage to my ear as soon as she screams. “WHY THE HELL AER YOU IN PARIS WITHOUT MARK!?” she screamed as fast as I finished greeting myself.

I knew she would scream. There hasn't been a single day where she hasn't screamed or shouted at me when it comes to my life. “Mark said it was fine for me to leave and it’s for work,” I said trying not to explode as she does.

“You should know that he is a kind person and only said yes because it was work! I said that you were allowed to do this stupid writing of yours as long as you date Mark! NOW YOU TRAVEL WITHOUT HIM!” she screamed again making my ear hear this annoying sound ring into my ear making me want to throw my phone away.

She always complains about what I do when Mark basically is fine with it and she still finds it disturbing. “Mom, I just landed please don’t give me a headache,” I said wanting to sound polite but I sounded like she tortured me which she did.

“You are an ungrateful child! I wish you were more like your little sister Aria, she is so far in life and living better off than you” she said making my anger lose control. I hate when people compare me to others especially my sister!
