Love doesn't last [Jeno]

16. Female lead is who?

“I am empty, not even a good title,” I said sulking and he just chuckled as he saw me acting like a kid. Jeno looked like he had an idea that could help me but he struggled to find the words to make me understand.

“You wanted to base the male character on me, I am willing to do it on one condition,” he declared doubting his words. Without knowing if I would be up for the deal he looked nervous.

I have no idea what his condition is but having him as my main male character would help me a lot.

“If I base my male character on you, that means a lot of the things and actions you do will be written down in my story,” I said making it clear to him that he will be a big part of my first love story ever.

Anyone who is in my first love storybook should be proud. “That is good because my condiction included being around me” Jeno mumbled sounding a bit suspicious and scared to hear if I will agree.

I was a bit excited but also nervous for what his one condiction would be, but I needed him to get a good start.

“You are supposed to write a love story if I am the main male or what you will base that character on. Then I want to choose my female lead or the one who is a part of this love” he spoke straight forward sounding revealed that he got his wish out of his heart.

I didn’t find it bad that he wanted to help me find a female lead and if there is someone he wishes for then they must have some chemistry between them. That also means I can say my book is based on a real story.

I got a good feeling starting with Jeno. “Sure, just let me meet the female and get to see her describe look,” I said without having any clue who the female lead would be.

Is there anyone famous who would be my female lead? Why do I feel this book is going to take a bit longer than usual?

“Just look in the mirror,” Jeno hesitated to look at the mirror on the table beside my bed. I am not going to play dumb asking him if he wants me to be the female lead, but I am truly confused.

I don’t know if he meant this as a joke or if he is being real. “I am not dumb, but do you want me to be the base on the female lead?” I asked confused as he looked away and not saying anything in a couple of seconds.

Was he confused by the words he said or did I make him confused? “I want you to be the base of the female and I will be the base of the male,” he said straight out without hesitating and had his intentions.

Jeno seemed very clear of what he asked for but why am I lost? “Why do you want me? We don’t even have a former relationship” I said trying to make it clear to Jeno that I can't write a love story between us or about us.
