Not sure how I feel about the title, I might change it.
Logan had been at his desk all day, his mind filled with equations and problems he didnt know the answer to. He decided to take a trip to the pier, it wasn't far from his house and the weather was grey and cloudy and cold, a perfect day for the beach in his opinion. No annoying families with their annoying children and the annoying music from the annoying, overpriced carnival rides. It was quiet and pleasant, relaxing. The logical man walked down the rickety pier, hands tucked into his pockets as he gazed up at the darkening sky. As he made his way along, watching the waves wash up onto the sandy shores, something caught his eye. It was a strange silhouette, somewhat resembling a man, but the waist down showed tentacles, like those of an octopus... or those of a certain sea witch. He decided to investigate, what could go wrong right? They may be injured, or in danger, and who knows, maybe they would with to be of company for Logan, so he made his way down to the beach.
Logan had heard many things about a creature of the sea. Some say it was a dangerous, horrifying monster that could rip you to shreds from the first glance, others say its singular glare could pause you in your tracks, before devouring you whole, but some said it was misunderstood, and kind. The logical man didnt know what to believe, he racked his brain for a simple answer, but of course, nothing was ever that easy. As he finally neared the creature, he recognised it to be asleep, eyes closed in a peaceful manner. Logan approached cautiously, he could never be too careful and upon further inspection, he realised the man did indeed have tentacles, they were a vibrant green colour, contrasting with his pale skin and the sand he was laying on, and he had a thin moustache sprouting on his upper lip. Logan knelt beside the creature, gently moving some of its brown hair away from its face, and he noticed a grey streak adorning its bangs. 'I can't have you just laying out here...' The logical man thought, 'im sure we could inhabit you at the lab' And so, with minor struggle, Logan managed to transport the creature to the nearby lab he worked at as a marine biologist.
During the journey, Logan didnt notice the creature starting to wake up. Eyelids fluttering open, it glanced up at him, confusion displayed on its face.
"Who are you?" They said, startling Logan, who jumped and turned to face them.
"My... name is Logan."
"Oh, I'm Remus," The creature- Remus, replied.
Logan simply nodded. He had reached a room for Remus to stay in, who didnt seem particularly bothered with being plucked up and carried to an unknown place.
"I apologise if this is by any means confusing, I had found you at the beach and didnt want to leave you there so I brought you to my lab..." Logan explained, Remus glancing around at the room he was in. A large body of water took up most of the room, which he instantly scurried for, expertly moving himself along the floor and diving into the water. Logan watched with great fascination, amazed at Remus' movements and skills. He continued to watch as Remus swam around, tentacles outstretched, he looked happy and calm.
"Come join me specs!" Remus called once he emerged, shaking water droplets from his hair.
"I would much rather not," Logan replied, adjusting his glasses, "However, there are some experiments I would love to try out with you... if you do not mind of course."
Remus looked confused for a moment, almost running the idea around his head before he nodded. Logan beamed, grabbing a few things from his bag and walking to the edge of the water.
"What sort of experiments Logie? Are they fun?" Remus asked, a playful smirk playing on his lips.
Logan felt a tentacle wrap around his leg, seeing the appendage emerge from the water. He watched as it moved up his body, the tip dangerously close to a certain area between his legs. "Not that sort of experiment," He was quick to add, causing Remus to pout and withdraw his tentacle.
"Fineee, what do you have in mind then?"

After a few hours of different experiments, Logan sat at the edge of the water, legs dangling in. He scribbled away on his clipboard and added a few notes into his personal notebook as Remus swam around at the bottom of the water. The scientist finally put his pen down and was about to stand before the tentacle from before wrapped around his ankle.
"Come swim with me?" He heard Remus say, seeing the seaman emerge from the water.
"I... would really rather not," Logan repeated, considering he didnt exactly have swimwear with him.
"Aww, please? I indulged in those experiments of yours, can't you just come swim with me?" Remus begged.
Logan sighed softly and reluctantly nodded, asking Remus to turn around before stripping out of his clothes until he was only in his boxers and of course glasses. He stood there bashful for a moment, but didnt have much reaction time before he was being lifted into the water by two of Remus' tentacles, a slight squeal escaping his lips, and his glasses being left by the side of the pool. His head was submerged under the water, eyes open and gazing at Remus who floated in front of him. The two swam around the depths of the water for a while, Logan finding joy in the other man's company, something he didnt usually find with his other friends.
A smile crept onto Logan's lips before he emerged from the water, taking a deep breath and pushing his hair away from his face. The logical man watched as Remus emerged beside him, hair slicked back from the water. He laughed as tentacles wrapped around his waist, pulling him closer until he was flush against Remus' chest, hands coming to shyly rest on the man's torso. A light blush appeared on Logan's cheeks, creeping its way down to his collar bone and chest as Remus' hand came up to move a strand of hair from the scientist's eyes. Their eyes met as Remus rested his hand on Logan's cheek, the other leaning into the touch.
The water rippled around them, Remus pulling Logan close and keeping them pressed against each other with his tentacles. The smaller man's lips parted slightly, gazing up at Remus with a fondness not many had seen him show before. The moment was peaceful with only the occasional drip from a bead of water breaking the silence. The two found themselves not able to tear away from the other gaze, slowly leaning forwards as their eyes slipped closed. Remus brought Logan's lips to his own, pressing them together in a gentle kiss. Logan reciprocated the kiss, his hands coming up to rest on the seaman's neck as they held each other, lost in a moment of bliss and wonder. Remus pulled them through the water, lips not disconnecting as he pulled himself to sit on the edge of the pool, Logan on his lap. They finally pulled away after a few moments, Logan's gaze meeting Remus' once more as a tentacle snaked around his waist, another coming up to place the logical man's glasses onto the bridge of his nose.
No words were spoken, the two men just staring into the other's eyes and happy to be in the company of one another, taking the time to saviour this rare moment of trust and peace, chests flushed together, bodies entwined, and souls in a state of calm.
Okay- here we go- I really hope you like this, I can't tell if I do, but I think I'm happy with how this came out.
This is one of the fastest one-shots I've produced, it usually takes me a while to formulate an idea and then execute it to my standards, so I really hope this is okay...
Let me know if you enjoyed it, and if you have any requests don't hesitate to leave a comment or message me!
