One Month Later...
The Lab was shut down due to multiple scandals. One including Barb's death. The cover-up story was that she got exposed to an experimental chemical asphyxiant or a chemical leak. Eleven, now Jane got adopted as Jane Hopper. Now I sit in front of Dustin's house waiting for him to come out. Nancy had helped Eleven get ready since my only ride option was my brother. My mom was working tonight and my dad wouldn't take me even if I had asked. Honestly, I couldn't be mad about Nancy helping El though Nancy had always been a older sister figure to me and I kind of wanted El's look to be a surprise.

"Im here I'm here!" Dustin jumps in the back of the car.
"Wow what did you do to your hair?" I ask. He rolls his eyes.
"It's called Farrah Fauccet." I laugh at Dustin.
"Whatever dingus."  Finally, we arrive at the school.
"Alright, here we are. So, Dustin remember once you get in there."
"Pretend like I don't care." Dustin says.
"You don't care."
"I don't care."
"There you go, you're learning my friend."
"Wait are you going to ask Max to dance?" I ask.
"...Yes." Dustin says.
"Mm." I say. Dustin leans forward and pulls the rearview mirror to himself.
"Hey. Come on, you look great okay? You look..you look great. Okay now you two are gonna go in there look like million bucks and you're gonna slay 'em dead."
"Yeah!" I say high-fiving them both.
"Like a lion.." Dustin smiles after high-fiving us. He purrs.
"Uh yeah don't do that okay?" Steve stutters.
"Okay."
"Good luck." Steve says to us both. We get out of the car. Dustin walks ahead of me. We go to the sign-in desk where Mr. Clarke is.
"Looking snazzy tonight, sir." Mr. Clarke says to Dustin.
"Thank you, my lord." Dustin smiles.
"Hi, Mr. Clarke." I say.
"Hey, Y/N." He smiles. I check in while Dustin goes into the ball.

I walk into the ball as a slow dance comes on. I weave in and out of classmates and people as I make my way to my friends. I see Max and Lucas walk onto the dance floor.
"Harrington." I hear behind me. Troy and James are there.
"Can I help you?" I ask.
"Would you like to dance with me?" Troy asks. I laugh sarcastically.
"Oh, you're being serious? That's funny. Anyways, I already have someone to dance with." I say. And just for old times sake as I walk off, I push him over with my powers making him spill punch all over himself. I walk up to my friends.
"H-hey Y/N." Will stutters.
"Hey, Zombie Boy." A girl walks up to him. I turn around.
"His name is Will." I say.
"Uh- right Will. Would you like to dance with me?" The girl asks.
"He already has someone to dance with." I say.
"I do?" Will asks turning to me.
"Yea me!" I grin hoping he wanted to dance. Will blushes.
"Yea sorry." Will says to the girl. She awkwardly walks off.
"Come on Will!" I say grabbing his hand and walking on the dance floor.
"I can't dance." I laugh.
"I can't really either." Will says.
"Well we can figure it out together." I smile. We dance for a while. Will had obviously practiced a lot. I slowly see Max kiss Lucas, and then El and Mike. I see Will blush and can feel my own cheeks glow red. I lean in and kiss him.

After the Snowball:
Everyone walks outside from the dance. It was very chilly out. I go to walk up to my ride when Will stops me.
"H-hey y/n.." He shyly says. I turn around smiling.
"Yes?"
"D-do you want to be my girlfriend?" He asks. I feel my heart pitter-patter and my cheeks flush. I wait a second and then respond. He looks at me hopefull.
"Of course Will." I lean towards him and kiss him on the cheek. His face glows bright red.
"Y/N come on!" I hear my brother yell.
"Bye." Will waves.
"Bye!" I grin. Nothing could ruin my life from now on. Everything was perfect. Or so I thought....
