Nathaniel tapped his pen on his desk lightly, trying to stay focused in class, but it became increasingly more difficult, the more he thought about Monday. He knew his powers were getting stronger but was he ready to teach other people?
He glanced over at Hunter, who was leaning back in his chair with his arms behind his head. Nathaniel's eyes traced over the muscles on his arms and down his chest.
"Like what you see?"
Nathaniel snapped out of his trance and looked up at Hunter, who was smirking at him.
"Obviously." Nate laughed and rubbed the back of his neck shyly.
Nate looked back at Hunter again and then closed his eyes, focusing on his thoughts. Hunter's thoughts flashed in front of his eyes quickly.
"This class is boring."
"I'd rather be at home with Nate."
"Nate looks so good in that t-shirt today I just want to.."
Nate blushed and quickly jumped back into his own thoughts. He wasn't sure if he was ready to know where that thought was going. He giggled to himself and went back to writing notes.
"Mind reading again I assume?" Hunter smirked over at his boyfriend who just giggled in response and hid his face.
The bell rang, releasing the class, and Hunter walked to his boyfriend and placed a gentle kiss on his lips. "You're adorable, you know that?"
Nathaniel smiled and hugged him gently. "I guess I'll jsut have to take your word for it."
"Mhmm."
They held hands as they made their way to the cafeteria, where their friends were already seated. The cafeteria was a lot louder today than normal, everyone chittering excitedly about something.
"What's going on?" Hunter asked as they sat down.
Shidge smiled. "Nesrin is here today to explain the battlegrounds situation. She's going to be announcing the teachers for each element, and then assigning the kids to them."
Nathaniel grinned. "Well I know I'm the psychic element teacher, but I wonder who the others are going to be."
Nesrin stepped up to the podium at the front of the cafeteria and tapped on the microphone, getting everyone's attention. The kids still were a little loud from the excitement of the all-wielders presence, but that did not faze her. Nesrin smiled sweetly.
"Good morning everyone. It's an honor to be here at your wonderful school. I'm sure some of you are probably wondering why I'm here, so I'll just cut to the chase!"
She pulled a small drape off of the whiteboard behind her, revealing a photo of the finished battlegrounds.
"We are going to be offering training sessions here, at the new renovated Element Centre, to really help you all harness your powers. I will be overseeing the training, but some of your fellow peers will be the trainers! How exciting is that?!" Nesrin said happily.
The kids all cheered and their spirits seemed to rise the more Nesrin talked.
"Alright now for the time you've all been waiting for.. your trainers!"
She unveiled another part of the whiteboard that had the trainers names on it."
"Nathaniel will be your trainer if you have the psychic element, Hunter will be the fire element trainer, Shidge will be the water element trainer, Ollie will be the earth element trainer, Randall will be your air trainer, and Sam will be your electric trainer! He recently mastered his second element, making him the first duel wielder here!" Everyone cheered loudly for the trainers, and the kids all grinned at eachother.
"Congrats guys!" Nate said, smiling brightly.
"If my trainers could all join me up here please, I would like the students to know what you look like before training on Monday." Nesrin gestured to their table, and the teens made their way up to the front. She introduced them one by one, each one getting applause from their corresponding element kids. It made the teens feel so honored.
"Alright everyone give a final round of applause for your wonderful trainers!" Nesrin clapped along with the kids as the teens made their way back to their table.
"Alright y'all well its been a pleasure speaking with you all, and I can't wait to see you guys all on Monday! Make sure you fill out this sign-up form if you haven't already!" She sat the sign up forms by the whiteboard and smiled. "Have a great rest of your day!" Everyone cheered and clapped for her as she made her way over to the trainer's table.
"You guys all excited?" She smiled and leaned against the table.
"Obviously! I seriously can't wait." Hunter grinned and squeezed Nate's hand under the table. "We're all really ready for this."
"Oh I know. You guys have been practicing like every single day. You guys are way ready." She smiled. "I'll see you guys soon okay?"
She grinned and walked out of the cafeteria.
