"Did you bring us here to die?"
"Obviously."
"I can't tell if you're kidding or not."
The group of teens walked through the old abandoned building cautiously, as Shidge led them toward a large door that said "NO TRESPASSING" bright red on the front.
"Um Shidge? I don't mean to be the one to point out the very obvious but.. that door clearly is telling us to not open it." Evan said, peeking around from behind Skyler.
Shidge smirked. "Yes I see that." He pushed the door open anyways.
"And of course, you do it anyways."
Shidge led the teens into the large empty arena.
"Woah. So what exactly are we doing here?" Hunter said, looking around the huge fight arena.
"Welcome to Element Centre." Shidge grinned, unveiling the huge brand new sign. "I bought it this morning."
"You bought this?!" Nathaniel took in the view of the huge arena. They had to have been almost 500 feet up above the bottom. There were thousands of chairs for viewers to sit in, and a large fighting ground on the bottom, with training props set up for every element.
"Yes. After the last fight night, I figured we could all use some training. Some of us did better than others, and I want to make sure we're more prepared for next time." Shidge grinned. "Also, once we get things up and running, we are going to be hosting battles here once a week. $20 a ticket to get in, and people can place bets on who they think will win. It will be an easy way to make some money, and give other people the chance to battle and hone in on their skills as well. We are going to train new kids here as well."
Shidge gestured for them to follow him, and they walked down the steps to the battle ground. "Each element has their own section for training right now. Once we have mastered our own skills, we will be learning how to duel-wield."
Everyone's eyes widened and stared in shock at Shidge.
"Okay you've officially lost your mind. Do you know how long it will take to learn to duel-wield? It takes some people years!" Skyler said exasperatedly, pushing her hair out of her face.
Shide grinned. "Not when you have a celebrity to train with."
Another door opened on the other side of the battle ground, and out of the darkness behind, came a tall beautiful woman. She had black and red hair, with large black horns, and elf ears. She wore a red and black striped sweater and a pair of black leggings. She made her way over the teens.
"Everyone, I would like you to meet Nesrin Amile." Shidge smiled over at the beautiful elf, who grinned back at him.
"Hello everyone. It's great to meet you."
Nathaniel's eyes widened and he gaped at her in surprise. "THE Nesrin Amile?! You're a legend!"
Nesrin Amile was Driudal's only known all-wielder. She had mastered every single one of the elements, and won many championships in the Element Olympics. Everyone learned about her in battle class, and Mr. Lithium was a HUGE fan of hers.
"I can't believe I'm actually seeing you in front of me right now." Skyler smiled and stepped forward, her hand extended gracefully. "It's so nice to meet you."
Nesrin shook her hand back and laughed. "Its nice to meet you as well, Skyler."
Skyler practically melted.
"Nesrin actually helped me purchase this arena, to help train kids here in Driudal." Shidge smiled. "She's a close friend of mine and we will be co-running this arena."
