Sam sat on the edge of his couch, his heart pounding in his head. He knew Aurora would be there any minute, and he could hardly contain his excitement to see his best friend. He heard a car pull up and he bolted over to the window, pulling the white curtains back.

There she was. Just as he remembered her. Her brown and blonde ombre hair fell to right above her shoulders in waves, and her green eyes were alight with pure joy. She stood proud at her 5 foot two height, and she smiled softly to herself. She grabbed her belongings out of the taxi and looked at a piece of paper in her hand before opening the door to the apartment.

Sam sprinted down the stairs and gathered her into his arms, throwing her bags aside. "Rory!" He grinned brightly as he picked her up and spun her around happily. Her bright laugh filled the lobby and she wrapped her legs around his torso. "Sammy!" She giggled as he sat her down and they did their secret handshake from their childhood.

"You have no idea how much I've missed you.

Sam grabbed her bags and threw them over his shoulder, leading the way up the steps to the apartment. She grinned. "Oh I have an idea." Her eyes scanned the hallways as they walked. Sam unlocked the door to his apartment and smiled as he swung the door open. "Welcome to Driudal, by the way."

She grinned as she walked inside, taking in the small but humble home. "I know it's a little small, so things might be a little cramped." He sat her bags down and shut the door, dead bolting it behind him.

She smiled softly.

"It feels like home already."

Sam chuckled and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge, sitting down next to Aurora on the small loveseat. "How was the flight?"

Rory smiled. "It was very tiring and long. But it's alright. I'm here now and that's all that matters." She pushed her hair out of her eyes and shifted her weight slightly. "So. I guess I'm starting school with you on Monday. That's exciting right?"

Sam's eyes glinted in the light from the open window. "Yeah it's awesome. Except you're going to hate our school."

"Why's that?"

"Just trust me. It's not a fun place. But you'll get to meet my friends. Which is cool."

Aurora smiled at Sam and stood up, grabbing her bags. "Guess I better put this stuff away then. Because the faster I can head to bed, the faster tomorrow can start!"

She grinned.

"Goodnight, Sammy."

"Night, Rory."
