CHAPTER 1

PARK CASTLE - JIMIN POV

'What do you mean I'm getting married next week?' I asked Queen Cho in utter dismay.

She inspected her nails, not acting the least bit interested in what I was saying.

'I knew you were simple but thought you might understand that sentence. Next... week... you ...will...'

I sighed. "I know what the words mean, but isn't this a bit sudden and why didn't we discuss it?'

She stared at me. A cruel look flickered across her face mixed with a flash of anger. I knew I had stepped a bit over the boundaries and would suffer somehow for being insubordinate like this, but I had to. Marriage?

'Did you really think we adopted you because we wanted another son? No! You've always been nothing more than an investment. That was the plan all along. You will finally serve your purpose and repay us for taking care of you all of these years', she said through clenched teeth.

I gasped at her cruel words. I always knew that almost everyone in the Royal family disliked me but I never once thought that they despised me to the extent that they were willing to sell me off like this. I am a 'Prince' after all. Shouldn't someone be marrying me instead of the other way around?

'What are you saying?' I am unable to hide the shock in my voice. "Who is she?'

Queen Cho laughed. It brought a sense of dread with it as she brought out a small framed picture and tossed it on the bed. I stared in disbelief.

'This time next week you will be at Castle Jeon getting married to Prince Jungkook.' She gave me a wicked smile, watching me as I picked up the picture to look carefully. 'What they do with you after that is none of our concern. If I were you I'd pray for my safety. I'm pretty sure they're going to treat you much worse than us considering how difficult it is to love you and the rumors that surround that family.'

'A man?!? Is the Prince okay with this?' I asked incredulously.

Queen Cho shrugged. 'King Jeon asked for you specifically and not your younger sister. His other children are already spoken for.'

'Of course, she is not of marrying age yet. That would be illegal!' I was thinking of my little stepsister. She was cruel but I wouldn't wish a forced marriage on her.

The Queen left me to my thoughts.

I plopped down on the bed, angry and frustrated. The whole situation was ridicules. I understood my horrible family selling me off. I wouldn't expect much more from them, considering how I had been treated my entire life, but how could this Prince go along with this? Did he like men? I would have to explain my feelings to him, hoping he was reasonable and not knowing what lies my family had already told him.

I fought hard to stop the tears that threatened fall. No, I would not cry. I should actually be happy that I was able to leave, right? Maybe this new family would be nothing like this old one. I knew nothing about them but there had been rumors of cruelty and mistreatment of people in their kingdom and at the palace. I could only hope they will treat me better...at least a little.

JUNKOOK'S BEDROOM - Jungkook POV

Soomin's hands tangled in my hair as I jammed her up against the wall. My lips crushed down on her neck and she moaned my name in response. Just like every time before I couldn't do it... I couldn't mark her. What the hell was wrong with my Wolf?

JK: 'You had better smarten up and do this soon or we will have an issue.'

Minjun: 'I am not talking to you!'
