CHAPTER 7

INFIRMARY – JUNGKOOK POV

I looked at Doc Evi and sighed. We had been looking at a lot of data on Fae and none of it made any sense. Fae were simple. Fae are usually fully human-sized, though slim and of course gorgeous, which completely explained Jimin's looks compared to the rest of us. Even the female werewolves tended to be taller, most being close to Jimin's height and build. That is why the rumors about our kingdom's strength circulated.

Evi: 'Interesting, but this fact doesn't apply to Prince Jimin.'

I looked at the screen where Evi was pointing

- Fae live in what's basically another dimension that overlaps ours a bit where time runs differently there, so they tended to live longer making them almost immortal, thus having no souls and a tendency to look down on humans -

I nodded. 'True. As werewolves we also lived longer, so he would get that trait no matter what, but we need a soul for the wolves to exist, plus he is also kind.'

Evi nodded. 'Exactly!'

Evi continued reading. I was following along and noted something. 'Their main magic is illusion or trickster based. What does that mean?'

Evi: 'It says here that they specialize in projecting a human image. That would do nothing to make you think he is your mate.'

I nod.

Evi: 'The magical elements assigned to Fae is Earth, Air, Water and Fire. Earth has nothing to do with electrical currents, as do water or fire. Air might, but it concentrates on air storms. They eat less and graze all day and are claustrophobic... interesting. Water elements also eat less... I told him to eat more. How are his eating habits?'

'I am not sure.' I was trying to remember any of his habits. Usually when I was around him all I could do was study is face. 'I will put a watch detail on him in hopes of seeing if he has air abilities. That would explain the electrical currents and expose him for tricking me.'

Evi looked at me with a wary look. I knew what he was thinking, the same thing as Minjun who at that moment was still angry at me for not trusting our mate.

Evi: 'You need to read the main point about Fae.'

'What is that?'

Evi looked at me directly. 'They can't lie outright but they can avoid the truth, or mislead, and they like to wager and bargain but they cannot lie.'

KITCHEN - JIMIN POV

The next morning I found my way to the kitchen with help from staff and joined the family in eating breakfast. Jung Hwan had set a spot for me next to her and had lots planned for the day. There had been great discussion after it was announced that I had found out about my wolf. I was a little shocked to find out that everyone in the palace was like me. Shocked and a bit relieved. I would not be rejected for this discovery!

Claire: 'Do you need any more to eat, Jimin?'

I shook my head. It was a good thing with my old family that I didn't eat much, but here everyone ate lots, and I mean A LOT! I naturally only needed around a half or even a quarter what a typical person required, which no one else ever understood.

'I am fine, Claire.' I smiled at her. She was a lovely pack mate and was counting down the days she would shift. Apparently Faith had shifted last night, so the whole group of them were tending to her today.

It became the project of the pack to teach me the ways. Jungkook was absent and the only thing said was that he was dealing with Pack business. Part of me was distressed thinking that he was off somewhere having fun with that woman... his mate.
