GREAT HALL -JIMIN'S POV
Miraculously, I found my way and was feeling a bit better by the time I got there. I didn't know any of the people besides my family. In front of me King Jeon and his wife stood with welcoming smiles along with one other person I assumed to be the prince's sister. And of course none other than Prince Jungkook.
He was not looking at me, so I stared. Everything about him was intimidating, tall with dark hair that was hanging loosely, a few strands falling over his eyes covering the deep chocolate brown gaze hidden by the thick eyelashes. He had a beautiful chiseled jawline, the kind I aspired to, but it was the smirk that drew my attention and snapped me out of eye raping him as I looked up at the fierce and alert look in his eyes now focused on my direction. My breath caught in my chest.
There was an animalistic feeling in his face and body that filled the room as he came to stand beside me. I dare not raise my eyes to look at him again, not after my earlier reaction to him, I could feel his gaze burning into my body and against my better judgement the lower part of my traitorous body was responding desperately.
What was going on?
'Traitor!' I said to my body. 'How can you be like this today! We've gone our entire life not being attracted to anybody.'
I seriously can't be standing next to somebody and feel this way maybe the Queen drugged my breakfast? I wouldn't put it past her. Jungkook fully turned and was staring at me. I could swear I could hear him taking deep breaths, like he was smelling me. Yes, I was sure of it now... I was insane.
Queen Cho: 'There's no need for a full introduction let's just get the wedding over with.'
I cringed at her words and tried hard not to laugh out loud. She was so happy to get rid of me. I saw King Jeon give his wife a quick, confused glance before responding.
'If that's what you wish then let's get the ceremony started.'
He seemed like a pretty jovial man and was trying to make the situation pleasant. The marriage officer motioned for Jungkook and I to stand facing each other and the rings were brought forward. The vows were quickly spoken between us, almost rushed actually.
As Jungkook reached for my hand to put on the ring I let out a small gasp in shock from the feeling. It was like my body came alive with the electrical current that past from him to me through the contact.
What on earth was that? Was that normal? My eyes snapped up to Jungkook who was looking at me with confusion. Our gazes locked. I could feel the heat on my face. I tried to read his expression as he quickly scanned all over my face then look back down at my hand and quickly but the ring on my finger. He pushed away my hands immediately as though they burned him.
My family found this hilarious - Jungkook not wanting to touch me and my face being bright red. My embarrassment was like a fine wine to them. Jungkook's family on the other hand actually seemed upset at his behavior and his mother was motioning him to take my hand again. He ignored her. I opened my hand as a request for his hand and he hesitantly placed it there briefly for me to put the ring on him.
The marriage officer looked between us wondering if he should pronounce us married and ask us to kiss or just pronounce us married.
Jungkook (sighed): 'Go ahead.'
The officer pronounced us married and said we may kiss each other. I froze. Jungkook grabbed my face in his hands and laid a light kiss on my lips. It was soft and subtle and the same electricity we experienced with all touches, also passed between our lips. It drove my body wild and the ghostly voice rang out again in my head – 'Ah! Mate, we are yours!'
