**Before the Incident**
Aishi's POV

"Society rules, within this very planet
Everybody wants to climb the summit,
Polishing their sacrilegious actions to the finest
Everybody is a victim and a suspect, isn't it?"
I forcefully gripped the paper in my hand. As I read through the lines, I was so confused.
Kahit kinakabahan ako, patuloy pa rin ako sa pagbabasa.
"Justice must be served properly
Without being too extremely early
Nor being too late to see
And not let the evil set free."
The judges stared intensely at me. Shooting deadly glares while observing my frame.
Ngunit may isang lalake ang palaging nahahagip ng aking paningin. Pakiramdam ko... kakaiba siya sa mga judges.
"Ironic as it may be, but one can't find the courage
The Justice itself is imprisoned in an unfortunate cage.
Thus, drastic measures are necessary
For the Justice to spread its wings and set free."
Nakahinga ako ng maluwag ng matapos kong sabihin ang binasa kong poetry sa kanila.
Nag-bow ako at nagpalakpakan naman ang mga audience.
Tiningnan ko ang mga judges at isa-isa silang nagsusulat at nag-discuss sa isa't-isa. Ngunit maliban sa isa.
There are six judges in total, tatlong babae at tatlong lalake. Sumusulyap ako palagi sa lalakeng judge na nasa pinakagilid habang tahimik na nakapikit na mga mata.
N-natutulog ba siya? Sa harapan naming lahat? Narinig niya kaya ako kanina?
Isa-isa silang nagbigay ng opinion at nagulat ako na puro positive ang sinasabi nila. "Keep that hard work!" "Impressive!" "Smart and Brave girl! Congrats!" "That was beautiful and meaningful!"
Pero hindi ko ma-appreciate ang mga compliments nila. Sa totoo lang nahihiya pa ako at nakokonsenya.
And I'm not surprised that one certain judge didn't give his opinion. Heck, he didn't even open his eyes.
"Uhm, would you like to give your opinion about this pretty lady's presentation, Mr. La----"
Lumingon ang isang babae sa tahimik na judge at halata sa boses niya ang ka-awkwardan habang pilit na ngumiti. Pero teka, anong sabi niya? "Pretty lady" g-grabe hindi naman ako kagandahan ah.
But everyone was shocked when he interrupted her with an unprofessional response.
"Nah, I'm good."
