|Chapter 12|

Your pov: 
Time skip a week to when your getting the puppies

Eva and I broke up a week ago, and its breaking down my mental health. I've started drinking to take away the pain. I also get high almost every night to get her off my mind, but today I haven't done anything because I'm driving with Dev and Mason right now to get the puppies. 

They dont know where we're going because I just told them to get in. Devy officially moved in with Mason and I about three days ago because Connor moved out.   She took his room, and to be honest I think she really misses everyone, but they picked their sides, and didn't let me explain. 

When  we pulled into Lilly's drive way I seen her and the puppies outside. 

"Oh my god are you getting a puppy?!" Dev squealed

"Yeah I am, but I was going to get two." They both looked at me confused. 

"Why two?" Mason questioned me. 

"One for me and one for Eva..." I parked the car and we all went outside, and as soon as we did the dogs came running up to us along with Lilly. 

Two puppies caught my eye right away. One was a male and one was a female, I could tell by the collars.  The male wasn't too energetic, but the other puppy made him. The female was energetic, but she knew when to calm down.  

Lilly: "Its nice to see you again Y/n!" 

You: "Yeah! I was really debating on getting two since you know.. Eva left me, but I really like those two." I pointed to the puppies I seen before.  Dev and Mason were playing with the puppies and I laughed at them. 

Lilly: "Your friends are really childish, but its cute," I laughed at her little comment. "And those two dog names are Nova and Niko. They're like bestfriends."  I listened and examined the dogs

Mason: "Ayo Y/n I like this one!" Mason yelled, but not too loud. He was playing with Niko, and I looked at Dev and she was playing with Nova. 

You: "I think those two are the ones."

Lilly: "Me too, and since I kind of caused you and your girlfriend to break up take on of them for free." 

You: "No, you didn't cause it. I'm paying the price we decided on, so $1,000." 

Lilly: "Fine, lets go inside and you can pay me." 

You: "Okay. Mason, Dev, lets go!" They got up and we walked inside with Lilly. I grabbed the two puppies before we went inside. 


I gave Lilly $1,000 in cash. 

Lilly: "I have to let the other puppies in, I'll be right back." She went outside and I looked at Mason and dev. 

You: "I guess we're the new owners of Nova and Niko." 

Dev: "Are you still giving one to Eva?" I nodded my head. 

Mason: "Why, none of them deserve it." 

You: "I know, but maybe they'll understand I was talking about getting puppies, and that I didn't cheat on Eva."  Lilly walked back in with all of the puppies. 

Dev: "Your 'friends' should have known that you didn't cheat." 

You: "I mean theres nothing I can do you to get them back, and I definitely can get Eva back." 

Mason: "You get her back one, you'll get her back again."

You: "Sure, whatever. Hey Lilly we got to do I'll cya soon." I walked over to her and gave her a hug. 

Lilly: "Bye guys, stay in touch!" I grabbed Nova and Niko and we all walked out to my car.

Each one them took a dog, and I started to drive to just a house to drop one off. I decided I would drop off Nova just because they still had Dev's dog because they told her if she wanted her dog that I would have to come, and to be honest I didn't want to go there, but now I am.  

"Hey Dev could you grab me my notepad from the center counsel?" 

"Yeah." She stopped petting Nova, and opened it. "Y/n why do you have so much money in here?" Dev grabbed the notepad and pen. When we came to a red light I looked over and seen a stack of money that I have Lilly. 

"Wow good play Lilly, good play." I grabbed the notepad from Dev and I quickly wrote 'Nova' on it with '- From Y/n. Here was my surprise.'

As we got to just a house I took Nova from Dev and I walked up to the front door, and knocked. It took a while before someone to answer, and when someone did of course it was Zack. 

"Why are you here." He said coldly. 

"I'm just here to drop her off. And by the way thanks for letting me explain, this was my surprise. You see the date today, and the date from a week ago? Yeah I went to go see Lilly today to get this puppy for Eva. Have fun."  I handed Nova to Zack and walked back to my car and drove away. 

Zack's pov: 

I just stood there with a puppy in my hands. Thats when I realized we all fucked up. Dev and Mason were right.

"Y/n would never cheat!" Mason yelled at everyone. 

"WE SEEN IT SO SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Connor yelled with a lot of force. 

"Your all terrible friends. You should have let her explain!" Mason yelled back, but not with force. 

"If you really want to take her side then go for it, then you can leave." I told the two standing in front of everyone. 

"Fine then we will, we dont need you guys anyways this just shows how good of friends you are." Dev spat out, and before they got any clothes they just left.

"Zack who was it?!" Connor yelled asking me. I walked back to the couch where everyone was sitting. 

I had the puppy in my hands, and when they seen her they all looked so confused. I was about to break down because we lost our three bestrides. 

Emma: "Zack, baby who was  it and where did you get the dog?"

Anna: "You looked like you just seen a ghost." They all started to laugh, but then one singular tea rolled down my cheek.

Connor: "Ayo bro, what happend, who was it. Talk to us." 

Zack: "She didn't cheat...she never even- we should have listened to her."  I sat down next to Emma and she looked at me confused. "This puppy was what she was going to get Eva.." I set the dog down, and it ran over to Eva who was sitting by Anna.  There was a note on Nova, and Eva read it. 

Connor: "What if she w lying and just got this to cover it up." 

Cooper: "She wouldn't do that, and I know for a fact she wouldn't. When y'all told me to block her I didn't, I texted her and asked what was going on and she told me, and she also told me to keep it a secret." 

Anna: "Are you being for real Coop?" He nodded his head. 

Eva: "Do you know anything else Coop?" 

Cooper: "Yeah... shes been getting drunk almost every night, and if not drunk she'll get high. She invited me over to smoke with her and I did a few times." 


Your pov: 

We got back to the house after a stop at Walmart and target to get supplies for Niko. I probably bought over $1,000 worth of stuff for him. We got it all up into the house, and placed it around, and he loved it. He was such a good puppy already. 

We were all sitting on the couch when Mason asked,  "Did Zack dm you guys too?" 

"Yeah he asked me if we could meet up in about a week or so, Y/n?" 

"I blocked his ass," I said blandly. "And there no way in hell I'm meeting up with them." 

"Come of Y/l/n." Mason spoke out.

"Yeah, no. I'm good," I stood up and grabbed Niko. "I'm going to bed." I walked into my room and locked the door. 

I went onto tiktok until I fell asleep with Niko in my arms.
