"I love you and that's the beginning and end of everything,"
The Lady Teleported us somewhere. She called herself 'The Handler'. She took us in to get cleaned up and changed. Finally. Then we took classes. God I hate school. Turns out we're going to be assassins. I wasnt a huge fan but it was better than surviving in an apocalypse.
3 years later
"I hate it here." I told five. "Dallas?" He asked me confused. "Oh I hate being an assassin, I meant." I placed my hand on his. We were in Dallas 1983. Five was making sure that the assassination of Kennedy was followed through . "Well luckily for you. I know a way to break our contract." He smiled as somebody shot JFK and people were yelling and freaking out. "Hmm how so?" I said putting the gun away. I looked at him as he made a blue portal. "You sure about this? I Bet you got 'tHe EqUatIoNs WrOnG'" I joked. We were about to go in when, "Hey! Get back here!"
It was someone from the commission. I muttered a curse before Five dragged me into the blue light. The man ended up going through the portal with us. We fell to the ground and got up. "Shit." We said. I looked at the commission guy and groaned in annoyance. I pulled the gun from my skirt line and shot him. "Does anyone else see little five and Eight?" I heard Klaus say. It really was easy to tell them apart. Although they aged, they were the same. "We don't have time for this!" Five said grabbing my hand and walking inside.
Fives POV:
I walked inside with my hands interlocked with my wife. Wife. I love calling her that. I was going to make a peanut butter marshmallow sandwich. "What's the date the exact date?" I asked as my wife took out the bread. "The 24th" Vanya said. "Of what?" I rolled my eyes and placed a cutting board down. "March." "Good." Eight said getting the peanut butter. "Are we going to talk about what just happened." Me and my wife stayed silent. "It's been 17 years!" Luther said getting up. I scoffed. "It's been a lot longer than that."
I blinked behind him to get the marshmallows before blinking back to my wife's side. "Didn't miss that." I heard him say. "Where'd you go?" "The future." I said. "It's shit by the way." My wife finished. I looked at her and smiled. "Called it." Klaus stated. "I should've listened to the old man. Jumping through space is one thing jumping through time is a toss of the dice." With this I felt my wife kiss my cheek. I smiled and chuckled. "So you two huh.." Klaus said wiggling his eyebrows.
I rolled my eyes as did my wife. Sometimes he can be a pain in the a- "I like your dress." My wife said raising an eyebrow. "Oh well danke" "wait how did you get back?" Allison asked. "In the end I had to project my consciousness forward into a suspended quantum state version of myself that exists across every possible instance of time." My wife nodded. "That makes no sense." Diego broke the silence. "Well...." my wife began. "It would if you were smarter." We. Didn't. Have. Time. For. This. "How long were you there?" "45 years. Give or take." I passed my wife a sandwich as I took a bite of mine. I wrapped my arms around her waist and noticed the baggy clothes.
"So what you're saying you're both 58?" Luther asked. "No our consciousness is 58. Apparently our bodies are 13 again." My wife answered with a passive sarcastic tone. She was right. i would get the equation wrong.. "Wait how does that even work?" I heard someone say. "This person got the equations wrong." My wife pointed at me. I hugged her tighter and gave her a sheepish smile. "We're here aren't we." I stated back. "You guys are so cute!" Klaus said. "Guess we missed the funeral." I said picking up the newspaper. "How did you know about that." This fucking idio- "what part of the future do you not understand?" My wife hissed back. "So heart failure huh?" I said placing it down. "Yes." "No." "Nice to see nothings changed." I said walking to the other room. "That's it? That's all you have to say?" I heard a voice. "What's there to say?" I asked. "Circle of life." My wife said rolling her eyes.
Klaus POV:
"So we're not gonna mention how little eight shot a guy in the yard?" I asked. "Since when does she use guns? Doesn't she have like powers?" Vanya asked no one necessarily. I didn't care. Five and Eight were holding hands and hugging and awe it's too much! "Five and Eight. Feight? Or Eive? Whatever they're endgame 🤞." I said walking out.Y/n POV:
"Don't roll your eyes. They'll get stuck like that." Five kissed my cheek. " Yeah. Right." I replied. "Let's get changed." He held my hand and took us upstairs. "Ima go change in my room." I let go of his hand and walked to my room. Nostalgic. The book I never finished reading was left to dust on my desk. "Shit."
I finished changing into the only thing in my closet and brushed my hair and felt arms wrap around me. I elbowed them to see five groaning. "Omg I'm sorry! You scared me!" I said helping him up. "It's ok.." He fixed himself. "Let's go downstairs. Sorry again." I pecked his cheek.I saw Vanya walk in. "Glad dad didn't forget about us." Five told Vanya. We were looking at a painting of me and five over the mantle. "Read your book by the way." I told her. "Found it in a library that was still standing." She looked confused. Still standing? "I thought it was good. All things considered." Five stated. "Yeah definitely ballsy giving up the family secrets." "Sure that went over well." I sighed. "They hate me." Her voice seemed sad. I hugged her and she hugged back. "Sorry V." "It's okay n/n" "oh there are worse things that can happen." Five added. "You mean like what happened to Ben?" Vanya broke the hug. "Was it that bad?" I looked down.
We never did finish reading that book together.
