Taylor's POV
Me and Ellie sat down at the dining table with a slightly later than planned brunch. I wanted to try and make it extra special for her and made pancakes, waffles, bought croissants and brioches and lots of other goodies. We both tucked right in and almost ate our body weight. We hadn't even unpacked much but we had somehow managed to work up quite and appetite.
"What's Karlie like in real life? Like I know you two are obviously best friends and extremely tall, but what's she like?" Ellie asked. I could tell she was a little bit nervous about meeting Karlie tomorrow, which is understandable. It's not everyday you get adopted by your idol then meet a model the next day.
"She's amazing. Just so down to earth, she's funny without realising it, insanely gorgeous, as you said, extremely tall, you'll love her and she'll love you."
"I'm a bit nervous. Like, she's a model, she's so beautiful, then there's me."
"Ellie you are beautiful. You might not believe it today, tomorrow or next week, but in time you will because you really are. And Karlie is too, but there is nothing to be nervous about, she's so genuine and I think she pretty much loves you more than she loves me and she hasn't even met you yet. You've already made quite the impression on her." I smiled.
"Thank you Taylor."
"You don't need to thank me, but you're welcome."
We carried on eating our brunch and drinking our drinks. I had coffee and Ellie had orange juice.
"How do you like coffee? Linda used to drink it a lot and it smells so strong I can't even imagine what it tastes like."
"Oh my God have you ever had coffee?"
"Nope." Ellie said shyly.
"Grab your shoes!" I said
"Why?"
"We're going to Starbucks and you're picking any drink you want as long is it involves some sort of coffee."
"Really? I've never had Starbucks!"
"You'll love it!" I grinned.
Me and Ellie going to Starbucks ended up turning into a little girly shopping trip. I had a caramel latte as did Ellie, she absolutely loved it. We were now in Forever 21 picking out dresses for dinner with Karlie tomorrow. Ellie couldn't decide what dress she wanted, neither could I, there were so many gorgeous dresses to chose from.
"I can only remember wearing a proper dress like three times in my life, so I may need your help deciding." Ellie chuckled. I could tell she was all new to this.
"How about a bodycon dress?" I asked, not really knowing her preferences.
"What's that?"
"A dress that hugs your figure basically."
"Oh god no, I have a terrible figure." She cringed.
"You have a lovely figure Ellie. Okay, what about a skater dress, or one that flares abit?"
"That sounds good yeah." Ellie smiled. She took hold of my hand as we walked over to a different section of dresses. I felt a bit shocked that she took hold of my hand, maybe shops made her a bit anxious, instead of thinking into it I held her hand tighter and walked over with her.
"Oh wow, this one is gorgeous!" She gasped as she picked up a dress she found straight away. I have to admit it really was beautiful. It was a black dress that flared out a little bit and came down to just above the knee, with lace roses by the neckline.
"Oh my, Ellie you have to try that on, it's so so pretty!" I squealed.
"Okay, where's the fitting rooms?"
"Right over here."
We walked over to the fitting rooms and Ellie walked into a cubicle as I sat outside and waited. I knew she would look gorgeous.
About 4 minutes later she stepped outside wearing her dress that fitted her body perfectly. She had a grin plastered on her face.
"Ellie you look beautiful!" I squealed. She really did.
"Thank you." She looked into a mirror and shyly smiled before looking down. "I think I want this one." She says and plays with her thumbs.
"Okay, that one it is. It looks so gorgeous on you!" I grinned. "Right, now I need to buy a new one."
"Haven't you got tonnes?" Ellie laughed.
"A girl can never have enough dresses." I winked back.
Ellie's POV
Me and Taylor were back home now after dress shopping for tomorrow's dinner with Karlie. I was so excited and nervous to meet her. I'd seen her's and Taylor's posts on Instagram and all the other things they do. I adored their friendship and I generally couldn't wait to see it in person.
Taylor picked a red bodycon dress that cut off mid thigh. It was hot, if I do say so myself. Taylor looked stunning in it. But she could pull of a bin bag. She told me that she had text Karlie to wear a nice dress for tomorrow as we'd both bought dresses just for the occasion.
The rest of the day consisted of unpacking some of my things and watching Rom-Coms while eating junk food and smuggling with Meredith and Olivia. It was such a simple day but simply the best day.
"Thank you for today Taylor." I smiled as I looked up at her. I was snuggled into her as she protectively held her arms around me.
"You're always welcome." She smiled back down at me as she ran one of her hands through my hair then stroked my arm with the palm of my hand.
"I had the best day with you today." I whispered as I shut my eyes and fell asleep in the dimly lit room. I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
