Taylor's POV

I woke up at 9:30am in Ellie's room. She was still fast asleep with her fist up to her face just like a baby would. The area around her eyes still looked red and puffy from all the crying. Poor girl. Last night, this morning, whatever you want to call it, really gave me an actual clearer idea of her mental state. I knew that I wouldn't be able to help her get better on my own... Maybe professional help would be better. They'll know what they're talking about because, well, what do I know.

I sat up and quickly wrote her a little note so she knew where I was when she woke up, if she needed me. I grabbed my phone and went to quickly check on Meredith and Olivia. They were still asleep and now laying on my pillows. I rolled my eyes at how typical it was of them to do that as soon as I was gone. I went to close the door and both of them opened their eyes and jumped down.

"Want some breakfast?" I asked them... As if they were gonna reply. I went downstairs into the kitchen and dished out their food into their separate bowls.

I'd leaned back against the kitchen counter, thinking about mine and Ellie's conversation about Karlie. Maybe I should tell her. But that could risk our friendship. But Ellie seemed so adamant that I should tell her. And I know Ellie was asking Karlie and myself and her yesterday... Maybe Ellie knows something. Oh my god... What if Karlie liked me too? God no Taylor calm down, stop getting excited, this is serious. I tapped my fingers on the counter mentally debating about what I should do.

"Urgh I hate feelings." I mumbled to myself as I stood up straight and walked away from the counter. I walked over to the refrigerator and got some ingredients out for breakfast. Before I prepared it I went up to Ellie's room to wake her up and get her to come down for breakfast.

I stood there watching her sleeping peacefully. So beautiful. How could anyone ever treat her so badly? I sighed sadly.

"Hey Ellie?" I whispered as I sat down on her bed. I softly stroked her shoulder, not wanting to startle her when she wakes up.

"Mmm." She mumbled and stirred a little bit. But she didn't wake up.

"Ellieeee." I said in a sing-song way.

"Hmmm."

"I'm doing blueberry pancakes for breakfast." I said.

Her eyes shot open and she slowly sat up while rubbing her eyes like a tired toddler.

"My favourite." She mumbled sleepily.

"Come on then." I passed her a dressing gown and we walked downstairs. She grabbed herself a glass of orange juice and sat on the island in the kitchen while I began cooking our breakfast.

Once I plated them up and Ellie dug right in.

"You hungry?" I chuckled.

"They're my favourite ever. And you cook them way better than the cook at the children's home!"

"Why thank you very much... Ellie I have something to talk to you about."

"What's that?" She sounded worried.

"I was thinking maybe about you seeing a therapist. So you could talk about what you're feeling and your thoughts."

"But I can tell you can't I?"

"Of course you can, but I probably don't have the right sort of advice as a professional would."

"I'm a burden aren't I?" She said with tears in her eyes.
