*Clocks Ticking to 3 PM*

"Hey, don't be afraid. Everything will be fine." Mrs. Emily says to me comfortingly.

"Yeah... Thanks, Mrs. Emily. I won't let you or Emma down at this dance." I said to Mrs. Emily as I fix my bow tie in front of the mirror.

"Ace, it's a dance, not a competition. Just go have fun." Mrs. Emily says to me with a smile on her face as she turns me around to fix my bow tie.

"I- I- *sigh* I just don't know how to react. I mean, two months of preparation would seem enough but I- I don't know if I can." I replied as I mumble my words with worry.

"Hey *shhh*, it's okay. Being nervous before a big day like this is normal. Alex certainly was *laughing sigh*" Mrs. Emily says to me as she shakes my shoulder a little.

"Yeah... Thanks for the advice." I replied giving Mrs. Emily a small smile.

"Anything for my little boy. Now, why don't we see how's Emma doing downstairs? She's been in the bathroom for so long, I hope her dress doesn't get wet." Mrs. Emily says to me happily as she walks to the exit of my and Emma's bedroom.

As we walk downstairs, I fathom everything Ethan said to me the day I was invited.

"You'll see. " Bradley said to me.

"What do you mean you'll see?" I asked confusingly and worriedly.

"Hey, they're just scaring you. Besides, it's been two years already without an incident." MiNa replied trying to calm me down.

"Two years? Incident? What's going on here?" I replied even more confused and worried.

"Ace... *turns and whispers to the group* Should we tell him?" Beth replied with a conflicted tone.

"Tell me what? Just please, I can handle it..." I said as I increasingly get more desperate.

"There was this... hmm... incident we were informed about in 4th Grade that someone was laughed out of the stadium. We don't know why but... I don't know, it doesn't seem right for you to go..." Beth said even more conflicted than before.

"You know what, Ace is new. He doesn't even have a label yet, so he can build from the bottom up instead of from high to low." MiNa aggressively said as she breaks the awkwardness.

"Oh- Sorry... I didn't mean to be aggressive like that..." MiNa says as she retracts herself from the table.

"You know what MiNa, good call. This seems dumb and out of character but Ace, I'll go with you and Emma as a chaperone." Bradley says to me and MiNa with total courage.

"Aww, that's nice of you Brad. Although, weren't Emma and Ace the only ones invited?" MiNa says to Bradley with appreciation.

"That can be arranged. Just know that I'll be there, bud." Bradley replied as smiles at all of us from the group.

"Thanks, Brad. We appreciate it." Emma chimes in, now with a smile.

Mrs. Emily and I then approach downstairs towards the bathroom. She then proceeded to knock on the door as she excitedly bounces on the hills of her toe.

"Ohh, I'm so excited. My little girl's getting to join a big girl party now." Mrs. Emily says as she continues to knock on the door of the bathroom.
