*cups clinking*
As I finish my cup of coffee just after I finished talking to the agent, I looked at them with a smile hoping they understood my life. I watched them finishing their notes while drinking our cups of coffee. They've been reactive but now... it's time to decide.
"So, this brings us today, right?" The agent asks.
"Yes, I loved talking about my life thus far but I think you got everything you need already?" I said to the agent.
"Yes, Mr. Jonathan, we got everything we need and I hope you enjoy your day." They said with a smile while they start to leave the table.
"Thank you for your time as well, agent. Have a great day too." I said sitting down while waving them goodbye.
I can't believe this is it. It's been one long year since the incident and it's been such a doozy reliving the days of my life... or as much as I can remember of it. However, it doesn't bother me anymore. The past has not given me anything good but only disappointments. I've chased nothing but wrong leads and false identities and I'm tired... I've remembered enough of the past and I think it has not satisfied me.
After contemplating this for a while, I then proceeded to stand up to see both Bradley and Emma walking into the coffee shop while wearing thick jackets.
"Hey, you guys. What's up with you on this bright afternoon?" I asked them jokingly just before I take a sip of my coffee.
"Oh, nothing. We just thought to come here to talk to you." Emma said while taking off her jacket and placing it on one of the chairs in front of me.
"Aww, that's nice. But I was asking why you two are wearing jackets." I joked at both Emma and Bradley again.
"Haha, very funny, Jon. We just happened to enjoy the ice theme park." Bradley sarcastically joked at me while removing his jacket and putting it in the other seat as well.
"Well, well, well. What a date that must be?" I teased them.
"It was not a date. Plus, Brad's parents were there too." Emma replied to me with annoyance and also an obvious blush.
"Ohh... So it's like a two-in-one thing. *chuckles* Parents plus date." I teased them more.
"Alright, enough with the hahas. What do you say we get something to eat? Where's Mom and Dad?" Emma said with a serious tone.
"Well, they went out to the courtroom a couple of hours ago just after the agents came. " I explained to Emma while pointing outside the coffee room
"Makes sense. How are we going to order food then?" Emma replied to me.
"They left me their credit card and gave me some money as well. What do you want to eat?" I asked as I pull my wallet out of my pocket.
"That's great. I'll have a doughnut." Emma said to me with a smile.
"Me too, but add a decaf to the as well." Bradley chimed in as he leans back on his chair.
"Okay, so that's two doughnuts and one decaf. I think I'll have myself a pie and a cappuccino. I'll call the waitress already." I said while taking the credit card out of my wallet and waved my hands up in the air.
"Yes, sir. What will your order be?" The waitress asked as she walks to us.
"Yes. Can we get two decaf, two doughnuts, and an apple pie?" I said while I looked at Bradley and Emma to confirm.
