A sheep's lesson

A Yang Zi's neighbour, who had lost a sheep, sent all his men to look for it and he asked also Yang Zi's servant to join them.

"What?" Yang Zi asked, "Do you need all this men to find a sheep?"

"But the sheep can have chosen between a lot of paths."

When they came back, Yang Zi asked them:

 "Well, did you find it?"

He answered not. Yang Zi asked him why.

"Too many paths. A path lead you to another, so we didn't know which one to follow. So we returned."

Yang Zi started to think about this, and he didn't smile again in the day. Mengsum Yang, one of his servants, asked him:

"A sheep is nothing. This sheep was not even yours. Why do you have to stop talking or smiling?"

Yang Zi didn't answered, but his servants were surprised. Mengsum Yang went and told Xindu Zi about it.

 The wise Xindu Zi said:

"When there are too many paths, a man cannot find his sheep. When a students is engaged to many things, he wastes his time and he loses his way. You are a Yang Zi's disciple and you learn from him, but it looks like you hadn't understood. That's sad."
