I do actually have a few more ideas for more parts to this, but if anyone wants to suggest some more, I'd gladly take them.

"Dad! Mom!" Romeo called delightedly as he skipped through his home and into the living room, leaning over the back of the couch wearing the biggest, proudest grin.

"I want to be mom-"

"What's up, Kiddo?" Henry cut Alex off, beaming. The latter glared.

"Your favourite friend of mine is playing in the homecoming game tomorrow and you-" he retracted two slips of paper from his pocket, hovering them in front of their faces. "Have front row tickets!"

Alex paused, quirking an eyebrow. "Anya's on the football team?"

Romeo deadpanned him, "no, Moreau! I know you secretly love him"

He scoffed, "I do not. When is it?"

Henry smiled. Since their first encounter a couple weeks ago Moreau had been over a few times to spend the weekend. They were only allowed to sleep in the living room because neither Alex or Henry wanted them to get up to anything nefarious, though other than soft, languid kisses they respected the rule and simply cuddled while watching movies late into the night.

Alex wouldn't say Moreau had grown on him. He wouldn't. Because he has a reputation to keep up and he doesn't want Moreau slacking because he thinks he's a part of the family now.

Alex doesn't like him. Not at all. Not one bit.

"Like I said, tomorrow at six. Parents show up at seven and, because you're royalty" he grinned at his mom, "you're allowed to bring security and have a whole section to yourself!" He exclaimed with a clap of his hands, "isn't that exciting?"

"It is, but there's something you're not telling us, isn't there?" Henry read their son like a book. He opened his mouth to keep up the facade but dropped it a second later, sighing.

"Okay, don't tell Moreau I told you this"

"Promise" they both said at the same time. Romeo smiled and climbed over the back of the couch, sliding himself between them. Automatically Henry placed an arm around his shoulders.

"His moms not going"

Alex frowned, "why not?"

"Because she doesn't think Moreau deserves to be in the team. She... yelled at him pretty extensively yesterday, it's why I called him in the evening. And made you say hello! You both make him happy" he admitted, Henry's heart expanded and Alex forced a light scoff.

"Well, whatever..."

"That's so sweet" Henry smiled, "of course we'll be there"

"We'll be his biggest fucking supporters and he better appreciate it" Alex said with a stern eyebrow raise, Romeo laughed.

"He will. Seriously. Thank you both! I'll tell him the good news" he jumped up and rushed back to his room, leaving the tickets on the table.

Once they heard Romeo's bedroom door click shut Henry turned to Alex with a knowing look. He crossed his arms and turned away, glaring at nothing in particular.

"I hate his mom" he said offhandedly, trying to come off as blasé, but Henry saw right through him. Even if everyone knew Alex adored Moreau, no one would admit it for him. Mostly to keep up the humorous back-and-forth the two had adopted since falling comfortable in each other's presence.
