I couldn't believe that this Greek God stood in front of my door, waiting for me. He was dressed in a black suit, white shirt and a bow-tie. His hair was messed up like he just came out of bed. He looked absolutely gorgeous and sexy. I could feel the connection between us , just like the one when we met each other for the first time.
-Oh, Emily you look incredible.' -He pulled me out of my thoughts.
-You don't look bad yourself.
- Are you ready?
-Yeah. I'll just take my bag and coat.
- Okay. I'll wait here. - I wore my coat and hung the bag on my shoulder
- So where are you taking me?
-You'll see' - He smiled to me and gently pushed me towards the car. His hand was on my waist all the way to the car. He opened the door for me like a real gentleman and with a hand gesture told me to go inside.
-Thank you sir- I smiled to him and sat in the car. The inside was absolutely immaculate. I guess it was the same limousine as the one he dropped me off last time. He jumped into the car right behind me and closed the door. The car started moving.
-How are you Emily
-I'm fine, and you?
-I'm good Thank you.' We stayed quiet for the rest of the journey, and as it was quite short, the atmosphere in the car didn't seem too awkward. The car stopped and Ethan's chauffeur opened the door for me. -Thank you- i said. We stood in front of Bacchanalia restaurant, Camile said that it's one of the most expensive restaurants in Atlanta. Ethan grabbed my hand, and walked towards the door. As we entered the lobby I was stunned with the surroundings. I guess I'm not used to this type of luxury.
The lobby was decorated with warm, welcoming colours. The walls were painted in light peach colour, and the furniture was dark chocolate colour. There were paintings on the wall, that showed different dishes and the restaurant's chefs, i guess. I've been dragged out of my thoughts as I heard Ethan speak.
-We have a reservation for a table of two. -Ethan said politely. The recepcionist looked at him and I could see her cheeks turning bright red. 'Oh babe I know what you're going through' I thought
-Oh, Good Evening Mr Clarke, yes um, Follow me. -she turned around quickly and hid her face. Ethan didn't say anything and I was sure he saw her reaction but he didn't seem to care.
-This is your table Sir. The waiter will be here in couple of minutes to take your order. Enjoy your evening. -She said and smiled shyly at us.
-Thank you- I said. Oh bless the girl, she must have felt awkward.
-My pleasure- She replied, then turned around and hurried to the lobby. Ethan pulled a seat out for me and waited until i sat down. He sat in front of me and looked at me intensly.
-What are you thinking about? - I finally asked.
-Do you want me to be honest or lie to you? -Is he serious?
-Honesty is highly appreciated Mr Clarke.
-Okay Emily. -He straightened himself on the chair. -I was thinking of how lucky I am to be her with you. -I was surprised with his reply, and surely was blushing.
-I don't think its the matter of luck Mr Clarke, and I don't think that person as successful as you should be counting on luck in any case. Am I wrong?
-I would never expect to hear that from you but I guess you're right. I don't count on luck at work but outside you may either be lucky or screwed and i personally prefer the first option.
- Interesting thing to hear Mr Clarke. -I smiled at him. The waiter came to get our orders and brought us some red wine. It was the best wine i have ever tasted and i'm pretty sure it was really expensive.
- So, Tell me a bit about yourself Emily.
- What would you like to know Ethan? I asked him. I didn't want to talk about my life, especially one particular period of time.
-Well, everything. he smiled -What brings you here?
- Me and Camile wanted a change, we've graduated couple of months ago and both decided that we're moving out. My father and hers are friends since me and Cam were born so they bought us a house here and we moved. I didn't know about their agreement until I stepped into the house and Camile told me about it.
-That's very grateful. you must love your father so much- Oh you have no idea
-What about your mother? Does she live in Detroit with your father?
-My parents are divorced, my mother lived with her second husband but they've split up. -I felt really broken talking about this but i dont think Ethan realised my mood change. -What about you Ethan? Were you born here?
-Yes, I was born in Atlanta, my parents have a mansion in th suburbs of the town, but I have an apartment in Midtown. - So you live on your own?
-If you don't count my dog then yes, live on my own.
-Girlfriend?
- You mean all that love thing everyone talks about? I don't believe in love anymore because you either fuck or are being fucked.
-Why do you say that Ethan?
-Because I know the realities Emily.
-Oh, I see - i dont get what is he talking about... Why are we here then? Was that meant to be some kind of a game? - You know, I'm not feeling too well. Could you take me home?
-What's wrong Emily?
-I'm just not well, I don't want to ruin your evening so ill go call a cab
-Don't worry, my driver will take you home.
-Thank you - I stood up and got dressed. Ethan walked me out from the restaurant and took my hand. We didn't speak on the way to my house. When we stopped, he opened the door for me and walked to my door. -I'm really sorry for today Ethan
-It's okay Emily, I hope you will feel better soon. -he kissed me on the cheek and I blushed.
-Thank you for the ride Ethan, good night. -I opened my front door and walked in
-I'll call you tomorrow. Take care Emily- he said
-Bye Ethan -I smiled at him and closed the door.
-Why did you come back home so early. I expected to see you tomorrow. -Did I interrupt you honey? i said to her.
-Not really, I was just watching a movie, do you wanna join me?
-No hun, I'm really tired. I'll go get a bath and jump to my bed. - I gave her a kiss on the cheek and said goodnight.
-Are you sure everything is okay? She asked.
-Yeah, I'm sure. See ya tomorrow- I said to her and went upstairs.
Everything was really weird, he asked me for a dinner which i thought would be a date, all the compliments and now he says he doesn't believe in love. What was i supposed to think about all of that? I went straight to my room, undressed and got into the bath. That's what I needed, a nice hot bubble bath and a glass of wine. When I heard someone banging on the door i realised that I've spent there about an hour and the water was already cool. I guess i must have fallen asleep. -What's up Cam?
-Some cutie is waiting for you downstairs, you better hurry up. -I wonder who it is, I said to myself. I've dried myself quickly and put my short purple robe on. I got my cosy socks on and went downstairs. What I saw or rather Who I saw wasn't what I expected to see.
-What are you doing here?
